ОтветитьI have a problem pick my hair😥😥 so sad it been 10 years now. I suffered a lot I can't take off my cape in public. I trying a lot to stop😌😌. but i can't completely stop my hand
ОтветитьWhat about graying of hair
ОтветитьAs someone with a decade long history with depression, would it be safe to take 1mg tablet of finasteride since depression is one of the side effects and since i already have a history with depression, would i be more prone to that side effect? Any advice would be appreciated.
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьThe best source I couldve hoped for doing a general search.
ОтветитьSaw Palmetto is known to induce long-term sexual dysfunction for some people, in the same manner as finasteride. Any 5-alpha reductase will do this. Please don't play with these things. Hair loss is natural - long-term sexual dysfunction isn't.
ОтветитьI'l just shave my head😢
ОтветитьThank you for the super clear breakdown of the biology of hair and hair growth/loss. As someone who has experienced some pretty significant post-partum hair loss, I would love to hear more about what is going on in terms of biology in that scenario! Thanks!
ОтветитьI highly recommend More Plates More Dates for more information. He saved my hairline (for now). Ill probably need a transplant before I turn 30, but I might actually make it through college now.
ОтветитьGreat episode, thoughts on Trichotillomania? From a psychological perspective? Would some of the treatments described can be useful for people with such condition? Thank you
ОтветитьIs hair loss and regrowth after chemotherapy subject of this episode? Thanks
ОтветитьAwesome Video. Thanks for Sharing
ОтветитьI am an N of 1!
I haven't consulted with my doctor yet about my hair-thinning issue, which has been going on for more than 15 years, but will this month.
However, as an N of 1, I have begun taking my health into my own hands. I am finding some results through a Moderate Fat + Low Carbohydrate + High Protein Diet. Each day my macronutrients may vary a bit. But, basically, it is a High Protein + Moderate Fat + very low Carbohydrate Diet. This is my personal variation of the Ketogenic Diet that I started on several months ago.
*According to renowned Dr. Christopher Palmer, people who are overweight may start the Ketogenic Diet with Moderate to Low Fat. The goal is to get the patient/person to burn their own Fat. So far, I have burned off 48 pounds in 9 months.
Along with my dietary changes, I am taking additional supplements to make sure I get enough Zinc, Iron, Iodine, and other micronutrients. So far, so good! And, I am not even missing the Sugar.
20 years ago, I decided to give a newspaper ad for hair loss a try. I started loosing my hair around the age of 17 years old, and only when I got to the age of 25, did I start really worrying about my hair loss. I bought the supplements, shampoo, and topical juice for about 600$. It was for a monthly use. My hair started growing back within the first month! Then the second month, my hair was really filling in nicely. The third month, I decided to replace the supplements which were accessible at the pharmacy for a quater of the price, despite the warnings of the "Hair Doctor", that the supplements were designed to work together in synergy, and that the pharmacy supplements would not work eventhough it was the same name, for example biotin... The Dr. was right. It didn't work and I didn't see any new growth. So I continued to buy the whole system for 600$/month until I decided to get a FUE transplant for 10000$. I figured that it would be a better investment than 600$/month. I'm sharing this whole story to basically expose the fact that the cure to baldness did exist 20 years ago. Today, this company which I've sadly forgotten the name, isn't there anymore, and nothing that I've tried after this has ever worked. Isn't it crazy that today, we still haven't found anything that comes close to what I had found then?

ОтветитьInteresting topic. Please looking into the effects of hair dyes on the scalp. I ask, because it seemed that my ex-wife was addicted to dyeing her hair. Can you explain how it effects the body? Great content and videos. I've learned a great deal, thank you 💯♾
ОтветитьDr. Huberman, what is your opinion on hair transplants? They say that hair near the back and sides of the scalp have more of a resistance to DHT, so patients that get transplants keep the hair that is transplanted.
ОтветитьIs this what you have been using Andrew? Your dome is looking better...
ОтветитьNo new info here. Haircafe and More Plates, More Dates are far more informative for hair restoration
ОтветитьOk, I'm feeling observed...
I JUST brushed my long hair in the washroom, thinking of telling my doctor on my next appointment that I seem to be shedding...
And lovely doc Huberman shows up randomly on my tv to tell me what to do about it within like 9 seconds flat!!
😮😮
Anyone thought about diluting coffee to your Minoxidil ?
ОтветитьYou hear about scube3 could you dive into that?
ОтветитьWe need visuals for this podcast to show us what is being spoken about.
Ответитьdo not think he ever gets to hair regrowth, if he did, i think he would have spent most of his time explaining that instead is maze of ways to keep you from losing your hair, maybe

ОтветитьTalk more on Post Fin Syndrome
ОтветитьHere some tips which i follow. Take Moringa and Wheatgrass powder with cold water everyday. Eat 2 eggs, chicken, salmon, tuna, beef and goat every alternate day. Use 4 oils coconut oil infused or low heated with hibiscus flowers and leaves and another oil that is use Black sesame seed oil alone or alongwith some drops of rosemary and peppermint oil in it, Pure cold pressed almond oil alone and last one eclipta alba leaves and emblica officianis dried fruit infused coconut oil. Try to not masturbate often. Rub grounded black pepper on the temple sides if you have receding hairline and be patient. Don't use any chemicals or shampoos or conditioners or wax gels. You can only use them 1once a month. Don't worry about unwashed dirty hair. To wash use bentonite clay or fuller's earth clay or lemon juice milk rinse or dried indian gooseberry infused water filled in a iron pot or just terminalia chebula hair mask.
ОтветитьThank you for this indepth info! I am a little confused about brain fuel. Based on my research, the brain uses glucose (carbs) for fuel. But you mentioned the brain uses ketones. Could you please clarify this? Thanks
ОтветитьI'm a female who's been suffering from hair loss since I was 12. I've also been to beauty school/have a cosmetology license and I applaud you on explaining all the hair science in a clear, straightforward way for everyone to understand. It was a nice refresher for me too!
Back to hair loss, I've always had thin hair and it falls out and get bald patches, as I age (I'm 35) I've noticed I have pattern baldness now which is not the same as when I was a teenager (hormones) and to add 2 more layers to the hair loss cake, I am also type 1 diabetic and have trichotillomania
I've always wondered if being diabetic makes me bald because I have poor blood circulation due to the 'beetus
The trichotillomania obviously causes bald spots but was not the reason for the original balding, but it got intertwined and at some points its impossible to tell how much of the baldness is self induced and how much is natural reasons
I wish I didn't care about my hair and I've shaved my head various times but I always find myself getting sad over having such crappy hair. I need to learn to let go. I don't like how most treatments need to be continued for the rest of your life or else your hair will fall out
No one asked for my life story, I apologize! But I really loved this podcast episode. I usually just visit your channel for the guided meditation my therapist sent me, but just happened to see this. Awesome!
Ive recently had a hair transplant just a week ago. Would injecting sermorelin sub q help with the hair transplant? Or could it hinder the transplant?
ОтветитьI thought eggs are the source of cholestrol
ОтветитьWHEN THE BODY HAS BOTH KETONES AND GLUCOSE AVAILABLE FOR BRAIN ACTIVITY, HOW DO CELLS MANAGE UPDATE? DOES ONE WIN OVER THE OTHER? IF THE ANSWER IS MIXED, WHAT IS THE % OF EACH AND WHAT FACTORS AFFECT THE UPTAKE?
ОтветитьUnfortunately not sure I can use this testing method because I get fades usually using a 4-5 guard which is 1.3-1.6 cm.
ОтветитьI've always had very healthy, thick hair. And I've thrown a lot at it. I'm a natural reddish-brown brunette but I colored it for many years; blonde, red, black and everything in between. It always grew back quick and healthy no matter how I treated it. I was lucky to undergo menopause a couple of years back and while I've noticed a slight thinning on one side more than the other and bit on top, overall, it's still thick and feels healthier then it has in YEARS of coloring it. I believe the health of my hair is the result of how I treat it. I don't wash it every night bc it strips the natural oils and I definitely don't color it. I use herbal tea rinses such as Rosemary made from my garden plants. I'm not an expert as I have zero training in the boilogy of hair growth, but I think my focused care has made a big difference.
That said, one of my sons has hair thick, curly hair like mine. He's 33 and not a chance of balding in sight. My younger son just turned 19 and his hairline has been receeding since his sophmore year in HS. His hair is still thick and curly and he wears it long. I recently started buying him rogain and some shampoos containing ketoconazole. It's too soon to know if it's making a difference.
Balding at 19 it’s over for me
ОтветитьThis podcast was fantastic and extremely informative. A wealth of information from Dr. Huberman- I was hoping to hear what Dr. Huberman has to say about low level light therapy LLLT. Can it be an effective tool in addition to many of the options outlined in this Podcast? Awesome podcast- I have subscribed and shared the link with friends and colleagues.
Ответитьmate just get to the point. I'm pretty sure I lost hair just watching this.
Ответитьcool
ОтветитьI don’t in any way want to oppose what Dr Huberman has said but as someone who took finasteride at 1mg I want to express with the upmost seriousness the potential, yes even potential to get the side effects are not worth it. You don’t know if you’ll get those side effects and I’d rather not risk it having taken Finasteride only for a week in 2021 and now it almost being 2024 and still suffering from side effects. Post-Finasteride syndrome is real and it’s scary, but the plus is look at how many other methods have been highlighted by the Dr. Personally after this encounter I don’t like messing with hormones especially inhibiting them. Thanks for the video doc.
Ответитьwhat about D'Arsanval (electric stimulation) for the scalp?
Ответитьwhy microneedling works, what is the logic behind?
Ответитьwhat about Minoxidil equivalent concentration when applied 5% topically? how strong is the systemic absorption?
ОтветитьIm 36 and have grown in the shadow of my bald dad/brother. However, Im a solid 10 years past when things were dismal for them and have no signs of hair loss. Does the doc talk about preemptive treatment at any point in this/do I even need to worry?
Ответитьwait. i understood as per my doctor that i do NOT need more blood to hair, but protect hair against that testosterone.
Androgenic alopecia/women.
and Minoxidin helps in that, not in blood supply.
that s why she told use minoxidil topically (to protect against testosteron) and no sense to use methods to increase blood flow.
