Thanks very much, great talking
ОтветитьWhat’s the adapter I should use for a canon r6?
ОтветитьHello could you please specify what settings you need to use on the camera menu?
ОтветитьYou said “screw it right onto the camera” while screwing the M42-Adapter plate to a RF-EF-Adapter.
Did you try comparing the lense on an RF-M42 to your setup? I am wondering how much of a difference it makes to the lense, since you are changing the distance between the camera sensor and the glass.
it's wonderful photo =)
ОтветитьNice video. I bought one few weeks ago from ebay and got it delivered yesterday. I tried using it with the adapter on my canon R6 II but as I was pressing the shutter button nothing was happening. I was wondering if there’s anything that I’ve missed or did wrong, maybe in the settings. Help will be greatly appreciated to get this thing working. Can’t wait to start shooting with it. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьHave you tried the direct RF adapter? Urth and Vello make them.
ОтветитьThese are really easy to take apart and clean, the sweet spot is to have your subject about 6-7 feet away and your blurry background about 20-40 feet away and shoot this lens wide open! This lens is a gem!
ОтветитьYou should consider using the Sony A7ii or later series with your vintage lenses. I was shopping around and considered the EOS R, but what sold me on the Sony was the in body 5 axis image in body stabilization. That is actually something when you are shooting with vintage manual lenses. I found lots of them on eBay. So I bought a Sony A7Rii for $880 (about the same price as a rebuilt EOS R). I like Canon and own one, but it didn't have the in body stabilization. Also, I just ordered a 55mm f 1.2 lens adapter for $11 each. This Sony came with a M42 adapter. This will be my first mirrorless large sensor (44.2MP) camera. I never use Auto anything other than image stabilization. So this will work fine. It is a cheap way to get into this kind of camera. Nothing is free of concerns. This camera has a history of over heating in 4K mode (which I won't be using) and small batteries. There are fixes for the battery issue. Back in 2015 this camera cost a lot. Maybe the Canon EOS R will include in body stabilization.
ОтветитьHave you used the FL series on this camera? Like the 55mm f 1.2 lens? The early 85mm Jupiter 9 lenses, silver with purple coating, look great.
You can forget about getting Russian lenses for now. I have all the vintage lenses I will ever need. Some of the Helios lenses are loose and sloppy. Some are not. I have both. Stay away from this guy: Russian HELIOS 81H 81N 50mm f2 Nikon Kiev Mount. The ripped off the Nikon mount and did a bad job of it. You will be grinding metal or at least I had to.
Do you have issues with the infinity focus not quite making it go Infinity?
ОтветитьHi can you put a link of m44 ef adapter please
ОтветитьI noticed you had an additional mount on the camera. Which adapter was it? Also thank you for the helpful video! I'm switching to the EOS R soon and my primary lens is the Helios 44-2.
ОтветитьCongrats on 500 subs! just became 501
ОтветитьLoving these photos! I've been using some vintage lenses for my Fujifilm x-t1. Been loving it! Thanks for the video!
