Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, man. Please keep putting out this terrific content! It's very much appreciated!
ОтветитьGreat lesson! Thank you
ОтветитьDude, this was hugely informative, thanks!!
ОтветитьI thought I would add why I use simple children for designing long hair.
Simple children spawns the children immediately around the hair folical / parent. There is no interpolation in between 2 folical. Each parent folical has its own group.
Now why this is important for long hair is that it allows me to style in symmetry without the interpolation trying to fill the gap between the left and right side of the forehead area just as an example. Simple is actually quite useful and I wish you could have went over it for others.
Interpolated is great for building long hair in layers / groups, fur, and short hair. But if you want to make long hair on just 1 or 2 poly systems, simple is a great solution.
By far the best blender hair system tutorial on this platform. I've seen a lot of them and never understood until now. Thank you.
ОтветитьThe settings for the afro hair is exactly what I need to create a realistic moss for my scene. Thanks!
ОтветитьSuch a great tutorial, where is part two?
Ответитьomg man, this is the best tutorial ever haha awesome I loved it. where is the next one? :O I need to know how to add uv maps and color to this! AHAHAH pleaseee xD
ОтветитьTo anyone struggling with hair particles jiggling/twitching in contact with a mesh with a collision modifier after baking a simulation, I'm having some luck by increasing the number of segments under the emissions tab of the particle settings. The higher the more stable, or so it seems...
ОтветитьThank you so much for this class man. This is so helpful
ОтветитьThis was such a help to me. Your very clear and calm. Some people talk to fast and wizz about all over the place. Thanks so much
ОтветитьThank you so much for this breakdown!
ОтветитьÓtima explicação.
Ответитьvery good tutorial Thanks man
ОтветитьThank you so much, sir. Nice tutorial
ОтветитьPlease can you make the same type of tutorial for all systems. Your step by step method is so helpful!
ОтветитьWoW this is detailed and super helpful. Thank you. I have a question please. After I finish setting up the hair and I change the scale of the sphere I find that the hair looks different and I have to do it all again. Why is that?
ОтветитьI am kind of new to Blender and created a character in Mb Lab and generated hair with particly system, however I would like to add another hair particle system underneath the one that already exists, with underneath I mean I want to have long black tails hanging down from underneath the purple hair system that is on top, how can I easily create that? I understand it is easy to add hair system to an object like you did, but can I add this directly to back of the head on the character? I have been able to select the area where I want to place it in edit mode, but do I need to hit some key or make some kind of command before I add the hair system? Because when trying to add it direcly to the selected part it doesn't do anything.
ОтветитьI'm in blender 3.2.2, when I switch from None to any of the other options in the children tab, I don't see any changes in my viewport. Is this a bug or is there
something I'm missing
You are very good at explaining...thanks!
ОтветитьSuch a great teacher.. much respect bro, Thanks!
Ответитьhow can i make the hair particle follow rig?
Ответитьgreat video! I can never seem to get the type of fur you used in the thumbnail though... what settings did you use ? :)
ОтветитьHello please anyone can help me!
My character's hairs not showing on object mode
Awesome Tutorial for a hair system. Thank you for Speaking English at human speed. LOL
ОтветитьI'm using this to make bushes and it worked great, thanks bro! Good luck with your work!!
ОтветитьHello, thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! Extremely helpful. If my vellus and beard hair are sinking under my head object with certain poses. How can I keep it from doing that?
Ответитьamazing like always
ОтветитьVery useful . Thanks!
Ответить10 minutes in and I already learned more stuff compared to 2 years of university. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks man!
ОтветитьAll you need to understand is that the hair particle system is outdated junk. There's lots of missing functionality at every turn. Its almost good but any time you think, "Oh I bet I can do this! The workflow would make complete sense if I could!". But you cant. You cant edit hair particles with falloff like the way every other edit mode in blender works for example. You cant duplicate a hair particle system and make derivatives from one hair particle system because the hair particle system shares settings with the original and the only way to separate settings is to remove all the particle edits you made. You can move hair particles around the cursor to help with editing sometimes but you cant PLACE the cursor in hair edit mode. Little things like this eat away at the experience of editing hair. This is why you rarely see decent hair in blender projects. There will be new geometry node based hair coming soon that looks to be much more artist friendly.
ОтветитьAmazing tut dude. Thanks! It helped me a lot, I feel I can go way further now. Love the way you keep the focus of the viewer. Going stright to the point, and giving us a nice intuitive knowledge to work with.
ОтветитьSimple: I just learned this today. Interpolated adds children BETWEEN the actual hair particles(interpolate from one to another).
Simple builds a bit of a node from where the particle is, and springs children out from that root. Simple IMO(barely tested) is better for stylized clumps like the Goku clumps, interpolated is more like a real head of hair.
I almost NEVER comment, but you taught me just what I was looking for!! Thanks for doing such an in-depth tutorial.
ОтветитьWhen i move to particle system and the i selected hair but nothing happens.
Ответить...is this the 'comment thing'?
ОтветитьI kinda hate your clickbait. You never show how to finish the product like the thumbnail… so frustrating.
Ответитьi clicked and watched a few on this topic now, and nobody mentioned if the hair just simulates when I animate the emitter. I would think it does, but nobody mentions if it works. I can't wait for my current render to finish so I can try out some hair
ОтветитьThanks for creating this. Very helpful to hear the explanations for each of the parameters you went over.
ОтветитьI am completely new to this, but I love the way you explain what’s going on, thanks.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial!
ОтветитьI'm using version x2.9 my own Is not working. It is a bug or something else?
ОтветитьThank you for this great tutorial, was really helpful. Any idea when the next part will be available?
Ответитьlots of respect and love from india , also plz make a hair shader video whenever possible.
ОтветитьHi! Thanks for the tutorial, it has been very helpful. I wanted to ask you if it is possible to transfer the hair modifier from one mesh to another. It's basically the same model only it changed the pose on the rig and I wanted to avoid having to do the whole process again
ОтветитьYou are the best , I love your video
ОтветитьThis tutorial is gold, best blender hair I've seen so far. Thanks bud
