Focalors' plan had 2 important parts, that Neuvillette will forgive the people of Fountaine, and that Furina will not falter in her conviction not even once. She really trusted them both so much

I'm an animator, i'm also a christian man and huge fan of Genshin Impact. While my peers would be wuick to label this ip blasphemy, i actually very much like Genshin Impact, and it jas even brought me closer to God.

Seeing the various archons, gods of Teyvat, divine judgements, getting close and personal with each Archon of each region helps me tie back and connect with my God. Venti as the Archon of Freedom and ensuring free will for his people reminds me of God's desire for us to have free will. Zhongli and his contracts are much like God's covenants and promises, and even Zhongli stepping back and retiring reminds me of the break in old to new testament, where God used to be overt, now he's more subtle. Makoto's long term view of transience, Ei being a god whose intentions can't be understood by the mortals around her. Nahida's love and dedication to her people. Focalor and Furina have heavy Jesus parallels in my eyes, becoming mortal, self sacrifice, righting wrongs and redemption. I'm working on a speedpaint/commentary series with more indepth analysis.

Furinas whole life was a performance, i think its fitting that focalors death is after she ended her performance a beautiful ending to a life of acting

When Rukkhadevata died it was a really sad moment and made me think Genshin was on the right track about improving the main story, but this whole archon quest and this cutscene specially went far beyond and actually broke me. I can't begin to imagine how good Natlan will be now that we are approaching the end of our journey.

No one is talking about how focolors is quite literally a deus ex machina.

So neuvillete will be new archone?

I like that Neuvillette is, in a way, Fontaine's new "archon" since the original rulers were the dragons in the first place. It's also very fitting what with him being Iudex and all. Taking over the god of justice/hydro archon's job is basically just him continuing what he's already been doing fr the past 500 years. Though I wish Furina would have had a better end, something a little happier instead of feeling like a fallen ruler. I can feel how tired she is and gosh it hurts so bad.

Imagine a different execution for Focalors, her and Furina dance together then Furina will execute her by stabbing her on the heart , making Furina her executioner

watching this scene again, it probably would've been way more dramatic if celestia was in the background as Neuvillette was in the sky. I'm so bitter seeing that castle in the sky now after witnessing one of the best archons be executed so unjustly.

So basically furina is like a reference to marie antoinette but with a happy ending

I havent gotten a chance to play through fonataines storyline but i imagine this confirms Nuevillite is that hydro drafon thats spoken about, it rains when he cries and the symbolism was there just oaited with focalors hydro magic stuff
