The Arvin wasn't seaworthy. They had added on to it, and that's the part you see breaking off. The welds didn't hold. It wasn't meant for the open sea, only canal and river work. Whoever sent it into the ocean sent those men to their deaths. ⚓
ОтветитьThe worst times onboard can never be seen because it is too stormy, dark and the visibility is zero. These are the good conditions. Its harder when you can't see the waves.

ОтветитьI'm sure the waves in the gulf of Alaska were fine, no need for us to ask their condition😂
ОтветитьIf you do not head into the high waves you will sink

ОтветитьThe only thing worse in this video than the broken ships is the narrators broken English. 😂
Ответитьあった事あります、大型船が危ないです、長いからです、中折れがするから。船長は、気象情報見て、回避する、人間は理解できない。舵が効かない。
ОтветитьPerfect Storm is a classic
ОтветитьInteresting that the rescue of the crew fro a ship off the coast of Norway was does by United States Coast Guard.
ОтветитьBad comments from videos already shown on vatious channels since 10 and even 15 years on YT.
ОтветитьYour English needs some work
ОтветитьPowered vessels cannot stand up to what a heavy displacement sailing offshore cruiser can! why? because heavy cruisers also sport full keel ballast. So even though a big wave can roll them the ballast brings them back upright. they're also too small from crest to crest to shear the top stringers. the bottoms are invincible due to the full ballast which is either solid lead or a combination of rebar & concrete. I knew a captain years ago that owned a 60 foot double ended steel ketch built in the 40's. this boat was absolutely indestructible. It didn't even have an engine what does that say about this captain's prowess? His aptitude in using a compass was amazing. he used the stars or the sun as a guide. this was back in the early 60's I bet that boat is still sailing somewhere. yeah didn't avoid anything even hurricanes (he sailed right through the eye of Donna in 1960). he told me he even had sail up on the mizzen and jib. unreal. He estimated 40 foot seas. I believe him.
Ответить🙋♀️🫂💝👍🏻😘
ОтветитьClear you don't know WTF you are talking about. The "tsunami" line was the nail in the coffin.
