Will raw spinach and raw kale offer some benefits or do they have to be cooked?
ОтветитьEXCELLENT VIDEO DOCTOR !
ОтветитьYou are a great teacher! Thank you!
ОтветитьDr Chua....tx so much...easy n simple explanation that any layman can understand n follow. Bless I m 73 n ve jus been diognisied w AMD.ll follow ur helpful tips to a T. Bless you .
ОтветитьThankyou for all the information. It was great!
Ответитьeggs and einkorn wheat have lutein and zeaxanthin
ОтветитьThe genetic angle: we also inherit recipes and food choices. Studies need to control for this. I inherited my blood type (B) genetically, but it doesn't match either parent (O & AB). Blood type determines many of the immune responses to food, digestion, obesity, and elimination.
ОтветитьCorn is not a vegetable!
ОтветитьThank you Doctor 🙏
ОтветитьThank you so much for this information. ❤🙏🇨🇦
ОтветитьUnfortunately there isn't good wild fish in this country, most fish are farmed raised full of colorant and additives, I take supplements
Ответитьwho benefited..?
ОтветитьThanks for the information👍👌🙏
ОтветитьObesity and heredity links could also be diet related as both are heavily influenced by childhood eating habits passed down by parents.
ОтветитьOmega 3 is comprised of 3 different forms. The form from plants is very poorly used by humans and is almost always used in cheap supplements. Omega 3 supplements should always be fish derived, but a diet of fatty fish or pasture raised meat would be better.
ОтветитьI've eaten organic kale and spinach and a variety of fruits and vegetables almost everyday for 30 years. I've taken fish oil on and off throughout that time as well as many other supplements from Garden of Life, Natures Plus, etc., in other words, the best supplement brands. They include B complex, Vit. C, NAC, ALA, DHEA, probiotics, digestive enzymes, Proteolytic enzymes, amino acids, etc. I run, bike, swim, lift weights almost everyday. Yet, I got AMD in my left eye at age 53 and I am now getting it in my right eye. I never did steroids either and no one in my large family has a history of AMD. WTF!! The only cause I can think of is too much X-ray radiation for dental work and military injuries and the use of accutane as a teen. Other than that, I'm the last person you'd think to get AMD.
ОтветитьThanks doc. Very good information, without trying to sell any product .
God bless you
Spinach is a top oxalate leafy green, my intake is therefore 0, so this person contradicts himself, bye bye.
ОтветитьMy garbageman is fasting 3-5 days, autophagy.
ОтветитьExcellent source of scientific information and well presented.. Excellent source of scientific information and well presented..
ОтветитьGreat video - informative yet concise. I have heard that canola oil (and probably other processed oils) are damaging to the macula. I tried a medical literature search (I’m an RN) but couldn’t find anything definitive on the subject. I asked my optometrist - he wasn’t sure but said his lecturers at uni said to avoid canola and other such oils. Do you have an opinion on this?
ОтветитьExcellent recommendations also for many other health issues. Salads (which are strong on fiber) before eating carbs (pasta, potatoes, pastries...) are good to flatten spikes of blood glucose. I have been on this for a year, with very positive results. Chua your greens!
ОтветитьWhat about MacTel, the Lowy Mactel project mentioned Lutein and Zeaxanthin, so I started taking that supplement. I also eat eggs. The vegetables you listed contain oxalates which I cant have. I do a lot of supplements. Also people with Mactel are low in serine and glycine in meat and eggs and shellfish and fish as well as some nuts and vegetables …so that might apply to macular degeneration as well.
ОтветитьUS chip sellers and their so
ОтветитьGreat video...Thank you, but which fish is best to eat... I liked and sub'd
ОтветитьFor you Beverly
ОтветитьIt's easy to kick macular degeneration. Get on a Keto or Carnivore diet.
ОтветитьYou are amazing with all the natural help you give us... thank you so much 🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьThank you for the information
ОтветитьExcellent source of scientific information and well presented.
ОтветитьCould you please include references somewhere so we can look up the studies?
ОтветитьHow about Nori seaweed in place of fish? Regarding body fat % …. There are low cost electronic weight scales that provide this information.
ОтветитьMost important. Sunglasses
ОтветитьThank you. Mom had this.
ОтветитьThank you. But what do you do id have already started to develop AMD?
Ответить1. Add green leafy veggies (lutein and zeaxanthin ) 2. Cooked spinach or kale, pumpkin, broccoli, eggs (high lutein or zeaxanthin foods), 3. Increase fish consumption 1-2 per week to decrease Macular Degeneration Omega 3 supplementation studies vary on efficacy 4. Lose weight if overweight (he refers to BMI which is not the best tool for checking your obesity as it doesn’t factor in muscle 5. Avoid processed foods 6. Do not smoke or stop smoking (doubles risk) 7. Know your family history (or I’d say know your genetic risk!) 8. Use an Amsler Grid at home
ОтветитьGobbledygook!
ОтветитьHalf truth, don't fall for it.
ОтветитьThank you, Doctor. Excellent information! However, I disagree with you on the blue light glasses. My eyes were really strained working on a computer for hours. They would hurt just rolling them around. When blue light glasses came out I bought some and they completely alleviated the strain and discomfort.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьPLease do not advocate eating sea animals - people are not using plastic straws to save fish but they CONTINUE TO STUFF THEIR FACE WITH FISH FUNDING the disgusting fishing industry that kills 2 TRILLION sea animals every year - how can anyone who is responsible continue to tell others to eat SEA ANIMALS? Please opt for vegan omega 3 supplements - the fish get their omega 3 by eating sea plants - so get omega 3 from those plants DIRECTLY rather than killing innocent sea animals to get THEIR omega 3
ОтветитьExcellent presentation!!!
ОтветитьCan you take Lutein and Zeaxanthin supplements, or best to eat whole natural foods?
ОтветитьMy mom is 81 years old. She already has it. What can you do now from getting worse? Thank you
ОтветитьMelipona Stingless Bee Raw Honey for Cataracts and pink eye... works very well.
ОтветитьI ended up with that in my right eye. WIFI RADIATION from a modem replacement caused it quickly after prolonged exposure ( The WIFI I had thought was disabled but wasn`t. It also accelerated the cataract growth immensely. It only affected my right side and still has inflammation from the temple down to my throat. My eye sight before that was really good. Not so much now. Distortion. It flares up when I sleep and wake up. Not pleasant. Watch the WIFI PEOPLE. Had cataract surgery and now they want to use laser I guess to eliminate scar tissue. Any advice to get rid of this inflammation would be appreciated. Waking up sometimes really sucks. Canned pork and beans seem to help the most.
ОтветитьThank you so much Dr Chua. A year ago, my 81 year old mom’s scans for both eyes showed signs of ageing. We didn’t know how to help her. Months later, After watching your videos, and followed your advice: make sure she eats green leafy vegetables and the other food you mentioned. I also gave her eye supplements containing lutein, zeaxanthin. And she had to eat more berries. She also eat more fish and tomatoes. It worked! My mom latest eye scan showed no deterioration in both her retina and macular, they are within healthy range for patients in her age group. I believe proper nutrition is truly important.
ОтветитьThis is so false, you can't do anything to stop this. I know first hand. This man is only making money. Ask your eye doctor! No amount of natural nutrients will slow or stop it!
Ответить😂 no
