A Catholic and a Protestant Debate Salvation

This is not a re upload it is a different segment from the podcast I reacted to last time

Jesus led me to the Catholic Church. I used to be Protestant. The saying is true, the weakest Catholics become Protestant, the strongest Protestants become Catholic.

If you can be saved and lose your salvation, is it possible to regain salvation again? I'm humbly asking because im struggling with my faith and walk with God on so many levels. Can someone please help me with this? I desire more than anything to be saved and please God, but my flesh always seems to get the best of me, which causes me to feel I'm not saved. It scares the heck out of me, and yet I struggle to overcome my sin nature.

Yall are both wrong. Only The orthodox church has the continuity straight from the resurrection of Jesus. Schism breeds schism hence why you have Protestants who themselves i suppose are chief authority of Christianity. Thats why theres thousands of nonsense Protestant denominations.

The things that you mentioned that Catholics added to the Bible shows your ignorance because there are lots of scriptures that you protestants decided to ignore just because Luther was angry of the Catholic Church. Every subject you mentioned has a proof within the bible and I am ready to debate it.

Yes I agree with you Isaiah! The works are the evidence of your repentance - to change your mind. They are proof of being born into the Spirit!

The biggest issue in differences is that Catholics rely on tradition + the Bible for their truth, while Protestants rely on Scripture alone! So of course there are so many differences. I would even go as far to say that some Catholics hold traditions higher than the Word!

I was raised catholic but didnt understand any of it and didnt really believe. Years later, I actually start learning about the bible and I buy one and read it, considered becoming protestant, debated baptist and methodist. Lots of praying and thinking later, and im back to catholicism, it literally just makes the most sense. Christ left us the church first and foremost, which was and still is catholic, and the bible was compiled later. Still love my protestant and orthodox brothers and sisters.

Actually you can say you’re saved and live like the rest of the world. Faith in Jesus Christ is all that’s needed for salvation. Living a clean life, going to church, repenting of sin, giving to the poor, baptism are all awesome works that we SHOULD do, but if we don’t BUT believe, we are saved.

The earliest churches needed severe rebuking from both paul and christ because it was a predominantly jewish culture where they where incredibly used to rituals and laws
When jesus came he said the law wont save you and your heart must be his for it

If never committ mortal sin? Newflash we sin everyday and all sin is sin, there is only one distinct sin that is unforgiven. The rest falls in line with all of it.
