This was so helpful 😊
ОтветитьPhenomenal style analysis!
ОтветитьThank you ❤
Ответитьwhere is the velvet blazer from?? Or can you give a dupe??
ОтветитьIn most of the examples the “wrong” was neutral and the “right” was always a sexualizing piece. Of course it will “embrace” your curves, as it’s meant to be a showy piece. I would like to see the same with modest attire, with clothing that are not meant to sexualize the body
ОтветитьI have a true hourglass, I have a pretty large chest, small waist and round hips. I resent the idea that 'to look good' I have to show that off. I know this isn't what your video is about but I've never, not once, really wanted to empashize my curves, No deep meaning or reason but I just love oversize things. Are they the things that make me look the thinnest? Nope but I have a rule of thumb with clothes... if I put them on and I love the way I feel and look in it enough to do a little dance? That's what I am wearing and not once has that involved 'showing off my curves' which I feel is just such a HARD FAST rulñe for curvy women. In the end you're going to shine most in whatever feels good to you.
ОтветитьWait where did you get that beautiful peplum top
ОтветитьI’m a natural ingenue and my body type is incredibly similar to yours! Thank you for these videos, they’re inspiring and very helpful☺️
Ответить"Wear what you want , just wear your size" My aunt once said this!
ОтветитьOk... How did those blazers look the same but also SO different!? 😯
ОтветитьThe boxy t-shirt looks amazing though!
ОтветитьThank you so much! This video is very helpful!🙌🏾
ОтветитьJohn 3:16, God bless ❤
ОтветитьWhere is the wrapped top in tip 2 from?
Ответитьi hv an hourglass body type but also hv bad scoliosis 🥹
ОтветитьStep 1 :- have curves. (The right once)😂
ОтветитьNever have I ever left the house with an uncinched waist dress and it felt right.
ОтветитьI actually prefer the darker low rise pants on the left for her LOL
ОтветитьHow about doing a side profile video on this?
ОтветитьOMG! Thank you. You just put in to words my fashion Goals! ❤
ОтветитьI wanna cry right now. All these years I've dressed in straight and relaxed lines thinking I don't need curve accommodation just because I'm skinny. No wonder they always dragged me down. Thanks so much for the insightful video!
ОтветитьI totally see the difference and agree your body looks better in the outfits that flatter your figure. I have a true athletic hourbody figure myself. However, I HATE everything you suggested would be flattering. I HATE ruffles, empire waist, belted dresses, small patterns, fitted blazers, all of it. I will be much happier wearing my striped tops and boxy blazers and oversized fits.
ОтветитьThank you for explaining things so clearly and concisely. Your principles can be applied to any age / style preferences.
ОтветитьYou could make a video about which types of clothings are better for each type of nose
ОтветитьI notice you aren’t exactly a “stereotypical” hourglass that most people picture, can anyone help me figure out how to differentiate a hourglass like Ellie from a rectangle body type?
ОтветитьThanks for mentioning the neckline. Deep Vs work really well on me, as I think they do most hourglass body types. They also seem to de-emphasize an aging neckline as the eye is drawn to the V not to the neck. I can't do the ruffles and puffed sleeves but they look lovely on Ellie-Jean...I will probably never fully understand the Kibbe system but I think the Introduction to Kibbe body type system article I found online is easier to understand than the actual test which can also be found online.
ОтветитьMy frustration is 170cm talk with long torso and short arms and short legs. Probably a soft dramatic. How to show off waist without making my proportions look off?
Ответитьi have an hourglass shape, but becauase i have bigger boobs i do not really like high waisted jeans because than it looks like i have my boobs on my stomach :(( it kinda "hides" my waist
ОтветитьI find mid rise jeans work best for me, Mid rise just rises up over the hips. High waist makes me look like I have a very short torso and even longer legs. Yes soft , light material works best for me , oh yes A-symmetry and the flared bottoms look amazing on me . Although I still look great in a bodycon but I can really see a dress or trousers are levelled up by flare/trumpet/frill/ruffles on the end . This has made me feel excited and motivated to find a new dress and one of those fluffy wrap jumpers x
ОтветитьMy waist is almost 25cm smaller than widest part of my hips, but my waist is so high that the curve style jeans are not high enough and they're very uncomfortable 🙈 Weirdly, the skinny ones sit much better
ОтветитьI'm hourglass shape.. with breasts these examples, wouldn't work... what suggestions do you have?
ОтветитьI have a dramatic hourglass body and I’m 5’10. But I’m lazy af and dress comfy to keep up with my 3 Dobermans and hyper active family. Tired of looking like crap or being miserable. Help!
ОтветитьI hate my hourglass shape so try to wear things to minimise showing them, unsure if it works but I always get compliments on my fashion and looking good so Yolo 🤣
Ответитьi actually think low rise works better than high rise for an hourglass body, make sure it’s actually low rise and not mid rise because otherwise it looks awkward and pair it with a long tight top and it reallllly accommodates the hourglass shape, with high rise it often makes you look boxy as the waist looks the same width as the hips but low rise really shows the difference between the waist and hips especially with a tight top that’s long and really shows the smaller waist!! <3
Ответитьomg this made so much sense. i've definitely been dressing wrong :/
ОтветитьHourglasses have fashion rules ?🤯
-An Apple
I can’t see her curves? She appears to be straight
ОтветитьFor all those who are confused about their body shape because it doesn't exactly fit the criteria of a certain one: it is possible - and even happens frequently - that you fall in between two different body types.
I, for example, have - according to various calculators on the internet and my measurements - a mixture of a gentle hourglass figure and an inverted triangle figure. My shoulders (103 cm) are a little wider than my hips (high hip = 98 cm, low hip 101 cm). However, my hips are wider than my bust (91 cm). My waist (76 cm) is defined but not extremely; some clothes actually make me look like I have a rectangular body shape. Others make my shoulders look wider than they actually are, some make my hips narrower. Oh, and: it doesn't matter if your shoulders, bust, waist or hips are 2 cm too wide or too narrow to fit the criteria of an hourglass figure. Such small, measly deviations don't matter. Besides, as they say, it is often the case that you are a mixture of two body types.
Where is that dress from? Please link things or say the brand so we can buy it
Ответитьhi ellie-jean!! i would love more videos like this- helpful body styling tips that aren't so heavily kibbe! obviously kibbe goes into more detail but for some people, it is confusing and intimidating enough to steer them away, and the consultations, though i understand your pricing, aren't as accessible!
ОтветитьPlease do an workout for hourglasse i have hourglass too i have the same body like but the differnece is iam tall
ОтветитьDoes someone have any advice for me I'm an hourglass but my shoulders are slightly uneven one is a little more broad than the other should so at different angles I look a bit more like a curvy triangle and at others I look like an hourglass
ОтветитьI do love your looks with those boxy jumper and top. I think they work great because they're cropped so they still highlight your waist <3
ОтветитьLOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR JEANS!!! What is the brand??
ОтветитьYour videos are so helpful!
ОтветитьCan petite hourglass women have spaghetti strap dresses?
Ответитьso i have a hourglass figure but i’m also 5 8 am i a soft dramatic or romantic help-
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. So far it is the very❤ best explanation of dressing for the curvy body type. I finally get it
Ответитьlove the clothes featured here and the comparisons! I'm so confused about my body type. Does anybody else's body look pretty much like this, except they have a bit of a belly sometimes? haha
