Everybody says that knuckles is dumb and not intelligent but for a non intelligent guy, he knows what Exe's planning and he's strong so don't judge him too much.

Sonic.exe started as kinda creepy but mediocre.
Then it went though a cringe phase that most creepypastas are in now.
And now its mostly moved away from the cringe, and evolved to be actually creepy.

Just thought I'd share some thoughts/gripes about things I see often in .exes for any budding creators interested in feedback:

* It's rather immersion-breaking when they're presented as being circa 90s, for a home console (Genesis, in this case) yet they use a super-stock, really inappropriate tv-fuzz effect. I think it's much more immersive when tile corruption is used, or the palette gets corrupted etc. Perhaps this is just a boomer thing; maybe younger fans don't recognize the incongruity, but for anyone who grew up with these games it stands out like a sore thumb. Same as stock fire effects layered on the pixel art; Sonic has fire sprites already man! Use them!

* More of a personal thing, but I've never liked "I AM THE GOD OF THIS DOMAIN" or "THE CONSOLE BECAME HIS BRAIN" bullshit. It's just so corny and dumb, too on the nose. I much prefer when messages/communication by the entity are more subtle, mostly limited to error or exception encountered messages which are more vague. I think just e.g. "LEAVE" interspersed in an otherwise standard message is enough for a warning vs "TURN BACK IT CAN THINK" or whatever; the latter is just far, far too silly and obvious imo.

I always hear a lot of hatred towards Sonic.EXE but I've never found the idea of an evil god-like Sonic cringy, I always thought it was a neat idea but was executed poorly. I'm glad I stumbled on this video that takes a unique and honest look at the series, definitely a breath of fresh air.

One thing to point out about Sally.exe, it's straight up plagiarism of a Sonic creepypasta video from 2011, the original couldn't be found because the channel was shut down. But the levels of Sally.exe came from the first 3 levels of the Sonic video with a few minor differences.

The only thing that gets me is that Knuckles is supposed to be plenty times stronger than Sonic. Sonic is pitted so actively against EXE, so it baffles me how fodderized one of the actually good fighters of that series get. xd

Then there are other good spinoffs like sonic.exe spirits of hell, whispers of soul, and the disaster sonic 2d online multiplayer, they are good game that sacrifice horror over playability but they are just as good and fun

There is a pretty cool Roblox Sonic.exw multiplayer that got attention by an exe fan game group which came together to make a 2d remake with 6 survivors 4 exes and 18 maps to select from

As someone who hasn't followed the sonic.exe community in about 10 years. To see there are games still being made makes me smile, it's cool to see it getting some decent fan games for a change

If you like Sonic.EXE One More Time, then you'll love Sonic.EXE One Last Time. It has multiple deaths and changes even the One More Time formula. It's awesome.

Ahhh god...I still remember the first time I saw the first version of Sonic.exe,then I've seen one of the most creepiest thing in my entire life,that creepy smile that Sonic does in the end of the game shattered me for 2 weeks lol,with the "IM GOD" message.

Feel free to correct me on this but, people keep saying the origanal Sonic.exe is cliched af. We need to remember it set up a lot of those cliches.

Nothing against the sonic.exe resurgence, but I kinda wish some other bad classic creepypastas would get a similar treatment. Pokemon dead channel is an example of something that can be spruced up, considering the friend plot that's never brought up again

Before: sonic but with a better story and better characters than 90% of official sonic games
