Cannot Create a New Folder in Windows 11/10 FIX [Tutorial]

Somehow, both fixes are not working anymore in 2024. I tried the Registry Editor and Scannow fix and still I have no "New" option to create folder when I right click context menu on desktop. All I did was uninstall a 3rd party app which then cause the "New" option to disappear in context menu. I'm thinking about doing a system restore to an earlier date. Can that be a solution?

I have no idea why the value in my regedit changed to rar_auto_file, just change that and instantly fixed, thanks a lot dude! Appreciate it

oh my god... thank you SO SO SO much for this. for some reason mine got changed to a ps2 file while i was messing around with my emulator and i went through a whole fucking adventure trying to fix it. i went into places within my pc that i've never been to. and finally, you, a shining ray of hope, gave me the only solution that worked. thank you so much.

I tried your fixes but its not working for me. My specific problem is when I go to right click to lets stay create a new folder. The icons just refresh on the desktop. It's very aggravating considering I want to create a new folder but i can't.

The registry edit, it actually worked holyy. The value on that thing was ext_auto..somthn i forgot then i changed it to Folder and thats it. I dont know what caused this though, the cause might still linger in this computer, i need to find out. but anyway Thank you so much!

Thank you so much. Editing the registry did the trick for me. I was going crazy over this. Embird had changed this value in the registry for me.
