As someone with a high arch, i have trouble keeping some shoes on like ballet flats or pumps without straps. Can you offer any advice?

Elegance quite depends on how you define it! I think it's Elegant to respect the subjectivity of taste ofc and also elegant to wear things you feel comfortable in. I also find nude backed dresses elegant personally but some people may not!

I have those more chunky sandals with the straps, and I like them a lot for comfort and basic style, they're elegant to me in a way. I do like those slingback shoes also :) they would be a nice option if I did want a finer shoe instead of my sandals

Loafers are my favourite.

I ruined my already harmed knees by wearing heels since being a teenager but just stopped when I got too pregnant (after years of pain). But flat shoes look so often just sporty or comfy - elegant options are rare.

Cute shoes, but I can’t wear any of them because I have an arch and arthritis in my feet and an insert for my shoe. So my insert has to fit in the shoes and be concealed so needs to be closed toe or a specialty shoe. It also has to have good support, cushioning and firm soul. Now if you could find me a great looking shoe that meets this I will be sold! I have to wear sneakers at work every day which determines what kind of clothing I have to wear. I can rarely dress up because it all depends on the shoe I’m wearing.

Thanks Anna, a great video as always. However I strongly believe that the most elegant shoes are those which allow a lady to walk elegantly - freely and comfortablely. For instance ballerina shoes are great on a slender lady wearing smth above the knee but walking all day long can cause some discomfort as the sole is quite thin so the way she moves might seem awkward...

Chopping off extra straps makes the shoe look like something from the thrift store with the extra chunk of leather still on the shoe.

I think both options look actually basic 😑 Elegance is more about being yourself a painting and treat what we wear as composition. There are no wrong pieces, only wrong matches.

Thank you for the video! While these options are all lovely for a light day of walking, what would one wear for comfortably walking 10,000 steps? By “comfortably” I mean won’t cause plantar fasciitis or knee pain. I am visiting Europe and would love shoes that can handle uneven cobblestoned streets.

I hate animal prints. Lol! This is one thing we will disagree on. 😂 also my foot has a really wide front so there will be shoes that are not for me. But i do agree with a lot of "big" shoes. They make my big feet look even bigger. Ugh...
