Every other review of the 680m igpu that I have seen has the CS:GO preforming from 160-200 average fps, I think there may be some testing inaccuracy with that specific benchmark
ОтветитьMy trust in HWU is higher than GPU prices in a crypto bull market
ОтветитьWhen do the u series come out?
ОтветитьOjalá las hubieran sacado para am4
ОтветитьAt this rate I may have to add a 3d V-cache Navi2 APU to my small collection. Would make for a great portable emulation and otg AAA title monster.
ОтветитьI can't believe it took them this long after the consoles launched to bring out RDNA2 APUs for laptops.
ОтветитьWho's my favorite Star Trek character? Lieutenant Commander 'Darter' 😁
ОтветитьDeeper sleep modes? Oh... More trouble with Linux. It took Linux devs a whole year to "kind of" patch the firmware and ACPI to partially support Ryzen 5 4500u in my laptop. At least now it comes back out of sleep instead of locking itself.
ОтветитьI'm am in the market to buy a new laptop and by far the most exciting thing about the 6000 CPU to me is USB4 with thunderbolt!!! Doubling the speed vs 3.2 and finally giving an AMD laptop the ability to use an EGPU!!! So years down the road if I or anyone want a better GPU it's a simple solution rather than rigging up something from the m.2 slot...
ОтветитьI'm glad you made this, but It was hard to follow (for me) I know you guys have long scripts and sometimes getting through them can be a bit of a hypnotic drone, no offense just some feedback, but bottom line, I really love that you made this content, the topic of architecture change is really juicy and rarely explored. I certainly would of appreciated a bit of a slower pace, maybe because I'm a little slow? and I definitely would of appreciated more examples of real world application to help put these changes in context. Maybe I'm a rare breed but I'm not afraid of watching a video for an hour. So I hope you feel emboldened to extend the run time.
To be real any one of those changes could have it's own full length explanation relative to previous gen, so being that this is a summary of future unknowns, It's ok to be left with unanswered questions, but allot of it was just way too technical to have any meaning whatsoever (for me anyway). I also felt a bit overwhelmed with both the mobile and desktop presented in the same video, maybe theres a better way to compartmentalize those or spread them across multiple videos but I don't know if that makes sense either when they're both ZEN3+, anyway thanks for the video, it's good to have this kind of content.
AMD 3D V-cache in this laptop APU could possibly beat Intel 12Gen. But AMD seems like wanted a refresh to stall and stay in the game. Let's see what Ryzen 4 will bring to the table against Intel offering.
ОтветитьI'm a little sad it seems they won't be releasing a full desktop variant. 1 more APU for AM4 would have been cool.
Ответитьwhat i dont understand is why we cant have 1gb chace i mean we have cheap 1tbnvme's and 64gb ram sticks so why are they so low
ОтветитьWho cares
Ответить"And here's where I'd review my Asus G14.. If I had one!"
Ответитьcpu says
'made in china'
'diffused in USA'
what the hell is diffused
Mustache
ОтветитьWonder when AMD and Intel have mobile CPUs that have igpu consistent gaming and rendering performance at 1080p 30fps.. is it possible to put a Ryzen 9 Apu like the 6900hs in a handheld like the Aya neo or one x player 🤔
ОтветитьThe improvements in iGPU power is the real reason NVIDIA tried to buy ARM.
The dedicated GPU will be a relic of the past in a few years.
Am5 socket for desktop apus in a mini itx sff build for my garage by fall 2022.
ОтветитьDDR5 = not for budget , time to back to intel :.(
Ответитьincredible
ОтветитьSpeaking about GPUs performance with Ryzen CPUs, I saw Steve have been using Windows 11 for the latest benchmarks, Do you think is about time to try Windows 11? Is it mature enough?, or should we still wait for a major update in the future? Thank you!
ОтветитьI was planning to buy a notebook with Intel's Alder Lake, but now hell no!
It's going to be AMD's 6000 APU for sure.
I have a Dell Alienware with a 5800H, 3060 and it rocks!
ОтветитьWill we get ryzen 3 6000 series apus?
Ответитьjust like the t-shirt, hardware unavailable
ОтветитьIn cinebench r20 multi core bench ....the zen3+ 6900hx is faster than the 3800xt and the Intel i9 9900ks desktop CPUs.. That's crazy
Ответить😎👍
ОтветитьThat truly sounds amazing.
ОтветитьIn my opinion, the notebook you're waiting for is probably the least exciting part of the 6000 series launch because it has an NVidia GPU in it and probably costs $2000. For me, it's ultralight notebooks running modern AAA games at 1080p/60, albeit on low-medium settings. I'm most interested in the 6800H.
ОтветитьThey finally paired RDNA with their APUs!
ОтветитьCant wait for asus strix laptop with latest amd chip to be reviewed
ОтветитьHopefully, AMD will use this architecture for budget AM5 CPUs. Athlon's etc. (DDR5 only makes it incompatible with AM4)
ОтветитьGreat content...
ОтветитьZen 3+ still managing near 5Ghz boost clocks is impressive considering the lower leakage.
ОтветитьBased on LTT it's amazing can't wait for the detailed breakdown and analysis from you. The next couple of years is gonna be very very interesting and should fun to see how Intel responds to on both the CPU and GPU front, can't believe I just insinuated that, Intel actually innovating 🤣.
ОтветитьSpeculation, late delivery of sample hardware, ASUS has Blacklisted you?
ОтветитьAmd nails it again on laptop
Better performance but more efficient
AMD already has better power efficiency so this is pretty impressive
Ответить6900HS Nice!
ОтветитьHonestly I 100% disagree on the fact this doesn't deserve to be on desktops.
As you stated, this is performance per watt, but it allows for higher clock speeds and RDNA2 iGPU.
That in itself paired with fast memory can be a holdover during the GPU plague where the 5600g/5700g fall short & would position those parts as even more compeditative in the market for general PC buyers.
Of for those people like me who want and like having an iGPU and are extremely frustrated with AMD for not keeping their APU line up to date with their CPU line. Having been a tech and troubleshooted back in 'ye olden days' before iGPU's. I can say for a fact that the advent on on board, the on-cpu iGPU's absolutely makes things SOO much easier for fixing stuff when it goes wrong.
My hope is we get away from this 'no iGPU' nonsense with Zen 4, and go back to having at least something basic on the substrate so that people can use their computers without GPU's and we don't continue in this weird world where you have absolutely no display output (2d or 3d) without an add-on card added to your computer.
Zen not 3 is like e cores. Zen 3 is like p cores.
ОтветитьI think Nobody cares about anything AMD's
Ответитьso tired of hearing "optimized for power," what a meaningless statement to make regarding a product that only works after it consumes power.
Car industry, "optimized for gas"
Microwaves, "optimized for power"
Clothing, "optimized for water"
Let's just hope these new laptops come with high refresh rate displays of at least 120hz. Otherwise, despite having a capable iGPU, they're not really going to be appealing to esports gamers. Playing games like LoL, Apex, PUBG, CSGO and such at 60fps is just not doable, unless you're not playing competitively. I would for sure buy one, at the price of $500 or less just to be able to play some of those games on the go, but as I said, if they come with only 60hz displays, they're useless for gaming.
ОтветитьI wonder if they'll make a 5750G or something, which has the updated features.
ОтветитьLook you guys arent getting it. AMD is built with parts of actual super computing technology that keep expanding upon to become more and more super computer till its entirely super computer in the near future like the road map.. well anyway nvidia costs thousands less to make and is cheap stuff.. umm think like a expensive sports DSLR camera which you can burst shot thousands of photos per second in super crisp high quality for say sports photography and capture people being hit in the face with the ball or umm waterballoons? maybe the expensive camera is only 30-40 megapixel for the DLSR lets pretend AMD is DSLR.. but what if nvidia came along with a mobile phone camera that was GASP 100megapixels.. but the phone camera parts cost like $10 or whatever u get the point, and the DSLR cost $300 just for the sensor in the camera? then nvidia uses software buffering and tricks sort of like umm long exposure so the waterfalls look silky smooth and photoshop overlays and layers to blend the images so the light is additive so it seems like theres more colour/light and details than there really are but its a sorta buffering long exposure shot technique like giving the car rear red brake lights those glowy trails and silky waterfalls for 'ultimate gaming' with 'ultimate price tags' its why when you switch to TAA instead of other AA types glowy showy lights and magic spells look 'brighter' and things can feel more 'colourful' or whatever. now what if both the phone and the camera both used the android OS? and the android OS was limited crippled and faked to be set by default to nvidia's cheap mobile camera.. and to actually use the DLSR sensor and not fake it with software and use the dumbest presets defaults in history that are the cheapest fakest limited stuff you have to configure the software and android OS to enable the DLSR's features that are all clearly written on the box? and then like try test and review them.. but you guys are like okay so we're reviewing our android dslr here.. when i forced this iphone app to run on it.. it seems like its doing something.. i guess this means this DSLR hardware being crazy more expensive thousands of dollars and vastly superior hardware with a dinner table sized sensor.. is just trash you should totally buy the nvidia mobile phone camera and throw all dslr's into the bin where we can pretend we're recycling them and shove them up our butts. but who would ever limit the software and cripple hardware? its not like we've ever seen the exact same camera and mobile phone with different brand logos on it take COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PHOTOS.. just because they're marketed at different price points before have we? its not like software colorcorrection doesnt exist? by why the hell does every phone take photos that are coloured and toned entirely different? at least huawei's p30 pro and others were based on leica polaroid or whatever film cameras and the heavy magenta u had to edit out in post is a trait of the old film look it was perfectly reproducing. but honestly reviewers just cried and its too magenta! they didnt say the film camera companys camera i bought takes photos that look like one of their film cameras and i'm pleased with it the retards! if you didnt want a leica look why buy a leica camera phone! do you not understand why im a thousand percent certain you hardware reviewers have never looked at the box or read a spec sheet? please review actual AMD hardware video decoding with actual hardware video decoding capable software and configured correctly and educate people on the steps needed to do so.. hint! if you're typing it into a dos prompt its not ever going to work dos is 16bit single core/single thread single GPU!. its true you can buy the exact same sony sensor camera part in a phone with the same qualcomm CPU and the same everything in a different brand and it runs lousy and its reviews are terrible and they say its not good! its just been crippled by retard criminals in the software what the hell is wrong with you guys?
ОтветитьI can't wait to see your detailed review of the Zephyrus since LTT and PC world already have their reviews up and Ryzen looks very impressive. Especially in the 25-50 watt specifications..it is faster than alder lake.
Ответить
