Please watch the Grow Kratky channel. He details a method of using a homemade float valve to manage the water level over the growth period in his tomato and cucumber video. It will certainly had an application here. Use a larger external reservoir and a float valve, no more changing solution or disturbing the plant. He shows how you can adjust the level of the float valve as the plant grows (start high and lower it over the weeks) and finally just leave it to maintain a constant level. He just uses gravity, no pumps.
