Watching how all the fat dissolved within weeks was such a relief! I used what I mentioned the other day, and although it actually took a bit more than a month, I finally got strong pecs, I just go’ogled Baker Henistole, and now the looks I get from others are totally worth it.
Ответитьah so thats why they added pony points, in botw I just didnt care about the stables at all
ОтветитьAnd it’s OK to be distracted.
ОтветитьWhy can't I have both health and stamina in order to shorten my playtime? I would rather see an open world game have 20 shrines instead of 120 shrines in total, but that's just me. Also, I would like to be able to complete the story without the challenge of being affected by the weather such as cold or heat.
I'm sorry, but as much as 99% of all the people enjoy the game, I gave up on open world games. Linear games are a lot more fun compared to open world games. No korok seeds to worry about in Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. And hey, I enjoyed collecting treasure charts in Wind Waker just so I can collect treasure from the ocean floor. I even enjoyed the Wind Waker randomizer that felt more like an open world game, but what I like about the randomizer (and linear games themselves) is that I must go into any places in order to collect required items in order to go to any places I want to go. Collecting cooking materials and korok seeds is just not for me in BotW/TotK.
how did they solve the problem? -they didn't. Its just 4 mayor main quest in a tiny island, then the same with the whole map, with lots of busy work to do. Elden ring does it better, dificulty is slowly getting hihger the more you go towards the objective of the game, also there is places with the same amount of dificulty near to "get stronger, get weapons, learn , etc. also in elden ring fighting enemies is rewarded, meanwhile in zelda you are punished by making the enemies harder and loosing weapons and items.
ОтветитьAll that, but I still can't deal with open world games... I end up worrying about side quests and stuff, get really overwhelmed and just never finish the game, because it ends up becoming a chore... 😢
ОтветитьI remember when I played botw at e3, the two girls on either side of me were surprised I'd gotten so far, (can't remember if I unlocked and finished the first shrine or what), before I even talked to the king. And got the glider, I think they were in, and had probably watched several players over the days, follow that pathing, to naturally lead them there.
I remember seeing him, or the smoke, and going, yeah, that looks important, I'm gonna go over here instead. I love that this game, certainly others (like elden ring), and now totk, give you both options but don't punish naturally inquisitive players.
Great video, makes sense, and clearly they knocked it out of the park.
genius design
ОтветитьI didn’t want this video to end.
ОтветитьThey didn't solved anything for me,curiously it turned out my least liked Zelda ☹️ i don't like most open world games and im not a fan of the building gimmick, its not really why i play these games
ОтветитьI guess I'm a boring ass basic bitch lol. For BOTW and TOTK I went straight to the towers. I want all my map and only then I'll explore. I do stray off the path a bit, but I mostly just make a mad dash for all towers before getting into the nitty gritty of the game.
Totk was hell for me. I spent the majority of my beginning hours in the depths trying to get as many Lightroots lol.
BtoW > TotK. By a lot
ОтветитьIncredibly well made video
ОтветитьThey made it truly open
ОтветитьI wish I could enjoy TOTK but I cant on the 30fps, its always laggy, botw was playable at times but not anymore
ОтветитьIts funny i jokingly call botw and now totk getting distracted simulator because everywhere i go theres always something else i wanna go do
Ответитьzeldas open world sucks. if i want freedom and exploration i go outside.
ОтветитьI noticed a similar approach in Ark Survival Evolved.
ОтветитьTHEIR VERY FIRST OPEN WORLD GAME!?!?!?!?!?
ОтветитьOOOO! piece a' candy!... i mean, Shieka Tower!
ОтветитьThey definitely did a better job of this in botw than in totk.
ОтветитьIt helps feed the ADHD mind, many tasks running at the same time. Chiseling at everything at once all in which is rewarding. ❤
Ответитьdo you have a works cited?
ОтветитьTears of the Kingdom does this even better. The floating islands and the Depths greatly contribute to it.
TotK has one primary issue. A LOT is missing between it and BotW, such as: What happened to the Shiekah tech? Almost all of it is gone, but it is proven it can still exist, with ancient arrows and the Purah Pad (I HATE the removal of the Shiekah Slate). Ganondorf has a clear connection to Calamity Ganon, but NONE of it is described in the story. I would prefer that they kept malice and simply stated that Ganondorf had been the real source of it the whole time, creating Calamity Ganon from time to time. Instead, he's a totally different antagonist, making it feel more like an alternative to BotW's story.
God loves u
ОтветитьZelda defined open world games. They made the first ones that ultimately now don't seem open world because the genre has progressed so far.
ОтветитьI consider ocarina to be open world
ОтветитьThe first time i played breath of the wild i was amazed at the size and scope of hyrule. Before that i thought skyrim and ithwr games were grand games. I hope Nintendo keeps the ipen world design but expand on the differnt kingdoms of the zoras etc
Ответитьcontrolling players open world experience is a fundamental misunderstanding of what open world is supposed to be
ОтветитьPlayed botw. First thing I do. Open all the tower and of course, got distracted like on this video. And yhen played totk. Welp. I dont care anymore. Straight up to open the tower, ignore all the distraction. Hmmm I think I should not obey the distration. Because I i will not visited it again, I mean the path and all the distraction. Idk. Just opened 3 or 4 tower already .
ОтветитьThe point of "Going towards one landmark and then finding more" is what happened to me when I went throught the zora's domain area, I went their to pass throught, activate the tower, and then go to the woodland tower to get the map of where I was going, ended up completing the entire Divine Beast quest at Zora's Domain instead haha
ОтветитьThey did an amazing job with BOTW world and they seemed to improve all of this in TOTK , new abilities, more enemies and so on.. Only thing i can say they better be working hard on another Zelda open world for Switch 2 if this really is coming out late 2024.
ОтветитьI'm currently playing TOTK and I'm constantly getting distracted. OOO last shrine before bed, on the way to that shrine a vast cave system that lead me to the castle. I am loving it, and the fact the world feels familiar but vastly different too is nice too see.
ОтветитьIdk, maybe it's me, but this seems pretty basic stuff. Basically Nintendo designed a shitty open world that forced the palyer to follow a path like a normal jrpg and then corrected it by designing a map with many points of interests, which seems like the first thing you have to do in any open world to even ce able to fit in the genre. Just to say that what showed in this video doesn't seem some genius solution
Ответить"How Zelda destroyed its formula"
There, I fixed the video title.
I don't even know how many hours of Totk I've played, but I'm still finding new places I haven't explored.
ОтветитьAre Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (and even Twilight Princess and Wind Waker) not considered Open World?
ОтветитьThey didn't solve it at all
ОтветитьI swear you spent more time talking about how you reverse engineered a talk than giving information
ОтветитьIncredible video. I’m so glad ya Americans still got to hear this in English, thank you so much for the hard work to make this happen.
ОтветитьI remember reaching my first divine beast totally by accident, I was just exploring and found myself fighting for zora’s domain.
ОтветитьNah
ОтветитьAnd this is where TOTK failed. The frequent aerial perspective shows too much at once.
Ответитьthx for recreate the lost lecture/experience sharing from Nintendo.
those block view mountains is very helpful.
however, it is sad that Nintendo only publishes games on its own console, so i never play them...
But isn't it given that you need to fill a large open worlds with points of interest? Otherwise its just empty like procedurally generated maps.
ОтветитьPLEASE work on your vocal fry, it sounds so bad in every video but it can be actively corrected!!
ОтветитьI mean, the original LoZ was fairly open for its time.
ОтветитьWhat was really interesting to me was how they subtlety told players where shrines were in TOTK. I was probably 100hrs in going over what i should do on my map, noticing i haven't even touched half the chasm yet and started flipped back and forth between that and the surface to check where holes might be. Upon doing that I realized EVERY lightroot has a shrine directly on top of it. With this i found quite a few new shrines in places I've passed several times over
ОтветитьNintendo and Zelda have a "Zelda" problem. BoTW and ToTK are not Zelda games. Zelda has been turned into a generic open world adventure game. All the nostalgia and uniqueness that made Zelda great has been tossed in favor of this "open world" format. These 2 games have little to no resemblance to Zelda and what made the Zelda series so great.
