Oh yes. Home care. Let's see. Let us look at the benefits of home care.

Very little money. (PAYMENT) no staff breaks,( even when it's against the law) too many administrative staff, some organise the runs who doesn't know the route.

Use of own car. No motor insurance paid by company to aid work roles. Some companies even expect you to take service users out on errands..

Pay for own petrol. Very little milage paid. Very little training. Don't always listen to care staff when discussing client needs. Change of service user visit at last minute

Staff overworked. Under paid. That's just some of the advantages. Lol😢

What this industry needs is given a proper recognition as to what carers do in terms to do within their role. (OH I FORGOT TO MENTION) conveyer belt care Rushing to one to another and is expected to be in two calla 4 miles away at the same time.

Unless home care is given a a paid sector and employees is given a proper recognition as carers work very hard and its not always an easy job, but rewarding. We will always be short of care staff. It's time to pay these guys.
