it's finally christmas time so obviously i am decorating in the sims

My grandmother goes ALL OUT for Christmas. Every single room is decorated head to toe and theres a Christmas tree in almost every single room (she has a pretty large house keep in mind)

I wanna put this in the camping world (yea I don't remember what it's called) and have my sims vacation here :)

this house reminds me of a grandmas house around the holidays with the smell of fresh cookies. this house feels so homey and the kitchen back splash i think solidified that feeling for me

Everything actually turned out great. But, girl, the front door right in front of the dining table... I can practically HEAR the door hitting the chairs every time it opens 😆

Nutcrackers do have a purpose other than being a display item irl, they crack nuts like the name entails. There's usually a lever on their back that opens the mouth and that's where you put the nut to crack it

As someone who hates christmas, I would throw up if my parents decorated the house like this, but i'd also secretly kind of like it. It's like the christmas houses i saw in movies as a kid and envied, and i just know it smells of cardamom and fireplace. I'd enjou reading a book there with soft rock in the background. Good job, you enwoke a small part of my childhood. <3

For the bigger bed I think I saw from the color swatches that there was like a Christmas tree spread and a snowflake spread you could check that out

It looks like a normal enough house, if you imagine that the family are hosting a Christmas dinner party with friends! The dining table spread doesn't look too far off from that scenario at all!

Almost looks like my grandmas house. It’s a red farm house that’s maybe 100 years old and she goes ALL OUT for Christmas

The kind of sad thing for me is that my paternal grandfather and his wife always exploded Christmas in their house. I only got to see them and my dad's stepfamily once a year for Christmas, but my grandparent's home was exactly like this. A Christmas explosion with a mix of the old and modern in it. Seriously my grandmother had an Angel statue from I think the 1890s on the very modern entertainment center (for the time). They passed away within 6months of each other in 2016 and were married over 30 years. I wish I could have gotten to know my grandfather better and his side of the family. Thinking about him makes me smell spaghetti. My grandparents had 16 grandkids and hung a stocking for each of us they also had every movie you'd ever want to watch on VHS and DVD and you could sign them out in the library log book.
