Convert audio file to mp3 on macbook with automator super fast

I have verified all settings are correct. I do have a MacBook Pro. I have placed a folder on the desktop. I have attempted to place the file on my desktop. It asked for permission, and I say OK. The gear does show up on the top toolbar. I am not able to locate the file in the designated folders.

Great idea - but how to set to 320 or anything? Thanks!
