Nice video detailing the card. The international version of the Centurion (or in this case The Netherlands - where I also have the card) is actually quite easy to get. I've accepted an invite with ~100k/year spend. They are actively approaching non-card holders through LinkedIn to promote the card. Probably explains the member since 2023 date in the video. Quite a shame to see them devaluate the product :/

So is the “member since” for the centurion or as an Amex member? Because imagine this person applied for first Amex in Jan 2023 and then got invited shortly thereafter!! 🤯

crazy that he got it and only been member since 2023, i thought i was quick i got one and im a member since 2019. seen one in the centurion group that got his with 2022 tho.

Amazing Card as always, I had in my hand 4 black Centurion mostly here in Netherland, I get my Platinum and I had bad experience, I get my Platinum card with a fu.... normal post I mean a shit letter as I got with the green card and the gold one, no Box ! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR THE STATUS AND WHAT I PAY TO GET THE PLATINUM.

I would love that card. You would have eternal happiness with that card. And when you pass away, you just show it to Saint Peter. And he gets you right in Even if he has to sneak you in the back door

Can confirm that I’ve seen/held 3 in my life so far. The “old” centurion card feels much better and similar to the Apple Card or delta reserve “plane” edition. New ones feel to be built the same as the current platinum and have that duller ring when dropped. I doubt I’ll ever have one personally but cool to see and feel!

My exgf had this card when we were 17yoa- well before they made the switch to metal. I remember they sent the updated metal card in 2005/06. The same large box was sent, and I remember thinking "oh shit, did I miss her bday, or special occasion" bc I legit thought they were chocolate's or something like it. I knew she had the card, but would never think the box contained a CC. 🤣🤣 Fyi she was an authorized user from her father, who was the primary.

Saw it once. Heaviest card I ever held. Worked at a pharmacy once and an attorney pulled it out. Didn’t know what it was at the time but it was heavy, black, and Amex. The weight is what I remember most I still have that experience burned in my mind

I used to work in a store in a mostly upper-middle class town. You wouldn't know by looking around but there are a few high rollers. I'm amazed how rare this card is because I've seen FOUR of these personally. Two cardholders were from the US, one was British and one was Australian. One card holder told me he paid almost $3,500 a year in annual fees on it and HAD to keep a six figure balance on it. He used it mostly for business such as chartering flights for clients. All of these cards came out before the ugly exposed chips were required on a large majority of credit/debit cards so I never saw the current version with the chip on the corner. It is twice as thick and VERY heavy. I was shocked by the weight but for some reason, this assured me it was not a fake. I can't explain why I simply took it without question. Funny thing is I had heard of the card before because of the novel "Everyone worth knowing." The author is known for the book and movie "The Devil wears Prada." What I found funny was I almost couldn't get the card to work. It was too big and thick to fit the card reader slot! I remembered the emergency swipe slot hidden under my keyboard and tried it. Whew! It fit. I would have been mortified having to call the merchant number and tell AmEx I couldn't get their top tier card to work on the register! Remember, i already knew what the card looked like and was familiar with what kind of customers AmEx hands these cards to. (one customer drove an Audi R8, the one Tony Stark uses in the Avengers films). He bought the biggest paper shredder in the store, LOL... Another client worked for a music studio so her husband used it for business expenses but that's all I know about all the customers with those cards. I like the old design more than the current ones. They were black with a white weave line going around the outside of the card. The edges were beveled with a machine, no doubt so you had to make sure you didn't drop it flat on a tiled floor. It would be difficult to pick it up with freshly trimmed fingernails!

I've seen 4 in my life, working at various retail over the years. One was a pro baseball player, and one was a famous actor. I won't name them, obviously, but I remember my reaction to the first one; I was like "oh, thats a metal credit card, weird' The person was like "oh yeah, it's a little nicer than a regular card, haha" I had no idea at the time, so I looked into it, and.. of course was surprised even more to find out what it was.

I used to work from brookstone at the airport. I’ve held so many centurion cards. The original centurion was much heavier and more metal. The new is mixed with plastic

Unboxing the most exclusive card in the world or ANY credit/charge card for that matter is boring. More interesting is the fact that the card carries a $10k initiation fee and $5k annual fee. More interesting is the elite status it provides at various hotel chains. More interesting is that the card is invitation only. Still though, I watched to the end and commented so you are welcome for increasing engagement numbers!

I would say to raise your depth of field. A lot of your shots on the card and box were blurry, which brings down the quality of this video for a lot of the times you were showing the box or card.

I saw one back when I worked at Nobu in NYC. The server came back to the kitchen to show it to us. 😂

So busy the past couple days it took me till now to finish the video. Section by section. Love the card look. To have the kind of money to just spend on things to be "invited" to get the card. One can only dream. Just don't be a credit Shifu and shoot the card with a shotgun. You could get it re-engraved with your name and have the chip replaced woth your platinum card chip. Pretty sure someone out their could do it.

Man, you are lucky! Most of us will never get to experience that card in person. I have to admit it is one of the best-looking cards on the market although the old-style Platinum card wooden box is pretty cool as well and much easier obtained lol. Great video!

I’m a server in the hamptons so probably 2 months ago this couple came to the restaurant, they were pretty nice , when I dropped the check they put the centurion one , I was like wt* I was talking to other servers , they didn’t have any clue about it but it was a good moment to see this card
