Casinos for Times Square & Citi Field? Empire City & Resorts World must be thrilled along with late Mets drivers finding parking. Hopefully preserving ‘Iron Triangle’ is worth it?

The house always wins in the end and Casinos ruin lives while destroying families. This is morally a no.

I would consider building a new football stadium to the left of Citi Field instead. This new football stadium would be built as part of a collaboration with the New York Giants, New York Jets, and the Jacob Javits Convention Center with a seating capacity of 100,000 attendees and an extra 30,000 for standing capacity. The stadium would be made as a multi-event venue that would house different sporting events, including football and baseball, concert events, mass prayer and vigil events, and convention events like the International Auto Show and Comic Con. This would be billed as a great mashup investment for three good reasons:

1. It would give the Giants and Jets a new home that is actually inside New York to play in many home games instead of across the Hudson River at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
2. It can also house any baseball game event for any baseball team to play in, including the New York Mets, because just like Arthur Ashe Stadium, this new stadium would be built with a retractable roof to help block out the rain.
3. With the stadium built as a mult-event venue, the Javits Center can use this venue to expand all convention events they would normally host in Manhattan, like the Boat Show, the International Auto Show, and Comic Con, which could all be reached by special end-to-end shuttle buses.

This new stadium would be called either 'Citi Stadium', 'Javits Stadium' or 'Citi-Javits Center', I personally liked the latter because it helps bring out the dual personalities from Citi Field's outdoor sporting atmosphere and Javits Center's indoor intellectual experience. By investing and building the Citi-Javits Center right next to Citi Field in Queens, you would create new jobs, bring in better cash-flow revenue, introduce better accessibilities with better entrance and exit points for customers and employees, and provide different forms of entertaining amenities for fans and enthusiasts alike attending any form of event right here in Queens.

Look at the pictures from the air... the area around Citi Field is an absolute dump. How anyone can be against revitalizing the area with privately used funds is beyond me.

As a Mets and NYCFC fan I support the park plan.
