i can’t hear anything from the drums and kicks even though i activated the button? but i can hear audios beats anf plugins why do i not hear anything in the media section?

When copying and pasting events, it used to work as it does on here with the dragging copy going beat to beat to drop in the beat one of the next spot. It's not doing that now, but it dragging the copied event in a way I can't set it at beat one. I didn't change anything in settings to cause this and I'm not sure where to find settings for changing copy and paste parameters.

My media tab in the right hand zone has disappeared! I clicked something by accident and now I can only see the VSTi tab. Please help! I want to continue to learn

Guys Im just starting with Cubase and Im having an issue.
I am writing a song at 3/4, following the metronome. But when I play what I just recorded everything is a mess and all chords and notes are out of tempo. Ive been trying to figure out this for hours but nothing.

Are these loops and samples only in Pro version? I bought elements 10, 2 years ago and dont have these

I've recently upgraded my mixer to a case compliant Alto Professional Live 1202 and DAW to Cubase Studio 10 running through an iMac and am trying to learn how to use it all. Your videos are really well structured and I will most likely buy the complete course, but in following Lesson 1 step by step I have run into some problems. Setting up the first kick track seemed to be going in line with the video but when I reduced the length of the sample and applied the small fade and then tried to play back from the beginning, the orange monitor button automatically came on and I could hear nothing and also nothing shows on the volume meters during play. I've tried with the mixer plugged in and using the iMac in-built sound system just in case it was an issue with the mixer but the same problem occurs.
Can you advise what may be going wrong please? I've tried to seek help from Steinberg direct but after nearly a week they haven't responded so I'm feeling pretty frustrated right now...

Like Rob C said in his comment, I too had Cubase in the days of my old Atari 1040ST - but haven't had much success a DAW since, because of the complexity of the interfaces... Thanks for these videos that bring the whole thing into clear focus. :)

Just a heads-up on sample rate — If you're writing music for TV or for music libraries, the sample rate should be 48khz, not 44.1.
Bit depth varies from library to library — some want 16 bit, most want 24 bit.
But every library I'm signed with wants 48khz as the sample rate..

I am experiencing latencies from plugins like autotune 9 and waves plugins too after mixing and also after exporting the audio has same latencies.. What should I do? I'm using cubase 10.5 on windows 10 7th Gen Core i5 - 7500 12 gb ram with a focusrite scarlet 2i2 2nd Gen soundcard

can we change pitch of hihats by simply dragging in piano roll like we do in some other Daws !

As an older person, going back to when only MIDI was available on Cubase, I gathered many keyboards and external units. Then, there were wave files, but still I used a lot of MIDI tracks, as computer power was limited. So. when I started getting audio out from a modest sized TV screen, as I'm long sighted, I thought I'd change the kick drum sound. I thought it was a VST instrument and went almost mad trying to find what MIDI channel it was on!

It's been over 15 years since using Cubase installed over 20 years ago, and like attempting graphic design on the latest Photoshop/Creative Suite, one cannot individualise or colourise the screen and icons. The icons are so small. I'll have to get a larger screen. Can mixing and other panels go on separate screens? We use to have manuals.

Anyway, I came back to this video to work out where to find everything. It is a bit different from the set-up of old Cubase.

Switching from many years on Logic with a Mac and struggling with Cubase on PC plus new 88 note Kontakt Komplete etc. All too much for me and wondering if I shouldn't just give up and move back to Logic. I'm hoping this will get me going. (Prayers !!!)

Hi, was very glad finding your course. However it happened what I encountered with other tutorials. At some point cannot follow you. Here I stopped at choosing a kick. Cannot hear the sound. Also don't know how to change preset when playing four notes of existing track.

Why cant i hear any of the sounds when i try to audition them???

Am considering a Steinberg UR22C audio interface. It comes with Cubase AI. What I want to know, is whether it limits how many projects/recordings you want to save. With Pro Tools free version you can only save 3. Thx.

I cant get any sound to the headphones. If I have an audio interface I can listen if I connect the headphones to the interface, but when I want to mix and connect the headphones in to my mac, the sound comes from the speakers and not the headphones. I have search everywhere into the Studio Settings, VST settings and audio connections and nothing. Does anybody have or had the same problem? I would be glad if you thank me
