How does a DAC like the dragonfly compare to the 2 you have shown? Does the type of cable used affect the sound as well and if so what is your recommend to pair with Sony XM5?

On the XM5s, when using in wired mode, does it make a difference whether the power is on or off? Are the onboard DACs , DSPs etc affecting the signal from the source then?

If I will connect that sony xm5 in wired mode, signal also goes to some filter and drain battery? Work that sony in wired mode if battery is out? I agree that wired mode is still important in many ways, but manufactures dont care about it much.

Bluetooth has it's uses, gym, speaker for the cupholder in the car and so on.

So quality is the same using bluetooth with Astel & Kern DAP ,or a phone with aptx, aptx hd, ldac…

From the moment he talked about using the wired connection with his Bluetooth headphone, I immediately understood that he didn't know his products... Nonsense with this kind of device.. all the sound signature is coming from the DSP..

Thank you for explaining this. I did not understand that so much is lost through bluetooth. Although bluetooth codecs have improved quite a bit, it is apparently still a long way from being what a wired connection is.

What about the AirPods Max wired to the DAP?

Bluetooth is the devil. It's not good and never had been. I don't understand why people choose to hamper the quality of their music.
