My poor Bear just passed away..
ОтветитьI lost my friend Jon wayne (cat) mouser!! I have been blessed with a Turkish van “white” with orange spot on side . Awesome companion, not a mouser! Darn it , 14 lbs. three yrs old. 👍🏼😸
ОтветитьVan is Kurdistan originally it’s a Kurdish city the name was WAN when Turk took it they changed the name to Van ! Kurdistan was invaded by Mongolian Chinese Turkish!
ОтветитьI own one, she’s too clingy, she’s on my body right now playing with me
ОтветитьI miss my Van so much.... She was such a good girl. I could go for a walk outside and she would stay right by me. No leash needed. She always came when called and even as I'm writing this I'm teering up... It's been a long time since I've had a pet. After losing her, I just couldn't. I will though. Sometime soon. I miss GG... I know I'll see her again in Heaven...
ОтветитьI have 2 van cats. A brother and sister duo (littermates). Romeo & Juliet were rescued as kittens that were orphans after the mother was killed by a car. They are white with black markings. I found they loved water and were drawn to the bathroom sink, kitchen sink and are so silky soft. My first realization that they were “different” when they played fetch as well as a dog. Leaving gifts of toys in my bed and understanding my commands. They sit for treats, Romeo will wait for Juliet to eat before himself. Then he will eat his food and his sister always leaves him a taste of hers as a thank you for his chivalry. These cats are so loving when they want to be held, stroked or any affection, Romeo will come up to be held up on my shoulder like a small child. Juliet prefers her belly rubbed as she will roll on her back as soon as you approach her. They have slept together hugging since the day they came to me 5 years ago. They are also quite jealous of the affection the other receives and will nudge in for their grooming. These 2 are extraordinary animals and I cannot imagine losing either one. ❤
ОтветитьI have an Ancient Van cat named Snowball..he will be 3 years old in May 2023..he hates being in the car or near water other than drinking water...
ОтветитьThanks a lot !
ОтветитьMine has blue eyes but one reflects alot of red.. they are different
ОтветитьVans like water on their terms, not their owners. They will walk around a bathtub or fountain before testing the waters ....so people shouldn't drop them in!!!
I had a Van years ago that came from a good breeder. I showed him in cat shows and so would bathe him a day or so before a show. He was not wild about the bath but knew he was being prepped so would tolerate it because he knew that he would be the most gorgeous creature at the cat show!!!! Very much admired and people would comment on how soft his fur was. He loved the attention. If he had not, I would have just kept him as a house pet.
My grey (blue) and white Turkish Van cat was the most glorious cat I’ve ever known.
ОтветитьThis is a great video. Thanks.
ОтветитьMine loves the bath.. Hates the towel lol. Crys bloody murder if I wrap him in a towel he prefers to shake him self dry like a dog lol
ОтветитьI got mine for $40 from a crackhead on craigs list lol. People ask me "did you buy him or rescue him" I reply "both"
ОтветитьI got my Turkish Van from a shelter I used to work at. He was returned several times because of many health issues and he's not the brightest. I don't have his papers, but I think he was a mill cat. He's small for a male Turkish Van (still bigger than my other cats though!), plus his health issues. Out of all the animals I've had, he has been the hardest to train, a garbage disposal, super stubborn, and LOUD. My boy loves all of his kitty siblings, and though he sometimes becomes jealous of his siblings, he calms down quickly with a stern word. It helps that he loves everyone, and his best buddies are his older kitty sister and my coworker's dog 😂
ОтветитьI have a van I bought her in England wasn’t aware she was a van, my furry baby has two different coloured eyes like from this video, and everything that’s said is correct.
ОтветитьI love my Van, Nala!
ОтветитьWhere are you from..??
ОтветитьAbout 7 months ago we get a call from our local cat rescue service. The lady that runs the place knows my daughter is cat lover. Seems she had this kitten who needed a new home. It had been in the big city near here and was picked up by their animal warden. The poor little guy got into a fight with a dog and had his ear damaged. So my daughter took the little (not really!) guy who the cat lady said was probably full grown. He was the size of our Siamese cat at the time however she was way off base and this cat grew and grew. He is now 35 inches from nose to tail, weighs in at a bit over 16.5 pounds and has all the markings and traits of the Turkish Van. He appears to still be growing and for some reason has decided that I am his chosen person. It is my privilege to be able to pet him for a few minutes, if anyone else tries this they are nipped and a second try could be rather painful with a full bite. He does love water, his coat is just lovely so silky and soft it is hard to believe he is a cat at all. We do love the little guy and he will stay with us for his lifetime. Since we have no papers on him I can't prove his linage and if it were not for the big oil field that surrounds the city and the wealth that this brought to the people, I would think that a stray on the street could possible have any value.
Ответить🤗😍👍👍👍👏👏👏😻🐱🐾🐱🐾💫💐🌟💕
ОтветитьThanks you’re channel is helpful super channel thanks ❤️❤️
ОтветитьI don't know about that swimming part. I had to give mine a flea bath one time.. he tried to kill me and I ended up needing antibiotics.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful, thank you for this video. When I have enough money I think I'll have a Turkish van! :)
