I've decided to give a chance to NW and I'm having a blast of how good the game is. Such a beautiful and immersive world, with solid combat and really well-done PVE.

hmm i would suggest you try guild wars 2 if you havent already, its a lot of fun, and the open world pve community is very friendly and welcoming. the base game is also free, so if you enjoy it you can just buy the expansions later or enjoy it as is. but the majority of the maps are part of the base game, so you are only really missing out on the features of the expansions like gliding, mounts and jade tech. i havent tried new world so i cant really tell, but if you dont want to spend a lot of money on a game you can try guild wars 2 at least :)

I agree that the game isn't worth playing if you've already maxed out a character, the endgame isn't really worth it. But I definitely got 40$ of enjoyment out of the game and then some, don't feel like I wasted money on it.

Improvements are good.

New world is well worth the price tag. It might not compete with WoW or FF but there's also no subscription or anything. You will have hours of fun into a very anti-climatic end game. Still, very good value imo.
