OLIVE SKIN • how to identify & best makeup colors!

My mom’s filipino, so i inherited her undertone, thank you so much for the video!

I only use a concealer anyway. Which one would you recommend from elf’s cosmetics and wet and wild ?
I am not a makeup geek but i like it when i am in a good mood.

I’m struggling with finding a concealer now, my favorite concealer used to match my skin perfectly and cover up my hyperpigmentation to match my skin, but now they renewed my shade now it’s too warm it’s orange, I’m not tan nor pale just in between and can’t find something my shade everything is too orange or too pink.

Can you please do a similar video like this one for those who have neutral undertones? Because I feel like some companies and color analists are referring to olive and neutral undertones as the same thing. And I would love to learn what colors flatter peopke with neutral undertone, and also if black, white, gray and brown are good options

I am medium olive I think, and yeah everytime I dare to leave the house without makeup, somebody will ask me if I am sick. Now all my makeup is earthy and peach tones. It livens up my skin a lot.

I find Nude by Nature makeup suits asain skintone so much! Specifically rose beige 4. It was a happy accident and I'm glad I finally found a concealer I love and is affrodable!

I have a lot of redness on my skin but have olive undertone. So it's really hard to find a perfect match. I have like 4 different foundations that I mix and match... sigh

I just learnt that I have olive undertone!! Now I understand why my PE teacher diagnosed me with anemia because I "look sick" without makeup, why I get tanned soo fast, why my face would look grey or green in some pictures and why i look amazing in navy blue, maroon, peach and dark green and weird in pastel colours :')

Waaait, sky blue makes me look like I have hepatitis while light brown clothes make me look washed out.

I have a mix of green, blue and purple veins on my wrist…am I warm, cool or neutral olive? 🥹 HEEEEELP!

My strategy has always been to find a super yellow foundation, then add blue mixer to it. I use a tiny drop of the MUFE one. Boom. Perfect match.

living in nyc one day my skins dry and the other it’s oily the weather changes throughout the day sometimes I get tan and become a shade or three darker and other times I look a lot whiter especially wintertime. I wear the hijab so some colors complement my skin shade and sometimes I appear darker or lighter based on the color hijab. It’s hard finding a good foundation because of all these factors.

I’m literally just noticing that I’m a olive undertone!
I’ve gone my entire life thinking I’m just warm, with yellow undertones but no! I reflect a little green!

This has to be the most comprehensive and detailed info on this topic. It’s such a shame that in this day and age most make up assistants will still match you up to a warm based foundation and still have no education or knowledge on olive skin tones. Thank you for this very enlightening video!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm 17 trying to find my style. For me it's easier to see in the part's of skin that is more fair? My face is pretty burnt 😭. I notice my hands to be paler than my face, my face looks tanned, warm and brown red but when I look at my paler hands, I notice how cool toned my skin is but I look yellowish.

I compare my skin to my friend who is neutral toned, this REALLY helped me a lot. I notice how my hands are more cool looking than hers and more yellow like a langsat. After watching about olive skin videos, I believe I am one.

I always thought that I have pinkish undertones because I have bright pink skin on my cheeks and around eyes and light skin. Untill I noticed this awful greenish tone around my mouth and now no makeup seems to match my f-ckin undertone

Basically there are two kinds of neutral, warm and cool. The cool neutral are olive with green casts, the warm neutrals are peachy with slight orange tones.

We've always been goofing around about being partially aliens,because of the negative rh blood that we have. Now it gets even more fun,cause I have grayish olive skin on top of that. Next time my daughter says she wants to write a letter to the aliens, ill tell her it's not necessary, she can just speak to me. 😂

This was so relatable. Most people think people with olive skin have darker complexions, so hard to find foundations that are light to medium 😩

This makes so much sense my veins are a greenish blue but I can not use cools because it makes me ashy so I try to find warm but hard to find in my shade since I’m brown skin black women with olive tones and warm tones makeup makes me so dark but I warn nutureal does not work either ms I am very light in the winter almost like 5 shades lighter and in the summer I’m a whole another person. My skin has yellow green tone too it I have to exfoliate daily and use vitamin c or I look sick or like I have jaundice skin this makes so much why I never could find my shade I’m going to start mixing pigment drops
