However, “Whiskey” typically is “Rye” (usually Canadian)
Scotch is typically of Scotland, Irish is typically of Ireland, Bourbon or Sour Mash (shown) is typically of the USA. Each Type has its own, very distinct character. All have subset characteristics which can be quite extreme. Especially Scotch and Bourbons. Irish seems to sit mostly between a smooth Scotch and Canadian
