Cairo, Egypt 2017 What is Eid?

Sept. 1, 2017. This is the first day of Eid el Adha , the feast which is marked by slaughtering cows and sheep. The meat is given to the poor, but in Egypt it's done on the street. We didn't see so much blood and gore on this day, but in the subsequent days, there were animals parts in the street as I was walking my dogs. This is life in Cairo. Very normal and everyone is used to it, but its not so normal to me. I don't want to see animal carcasses and blood in the streets. The great thing about Eid, is there is no traffic for a few days.
