From what I gather by seeing her in a few matches it seems that her L-click is intended not to kill, but almost solely for charge generation. Kind of like the "price" you have to pay for charging up the abilities that can actually kill.

I’d say reduce the cool downs on the movement ability to maybe 8s instead of 14s, 14 seconds for a movement ability on a flank champion is just rough.

Also damage buff is kinda needed but don’t want them to go over the top.

DMG over time looks kinda worrying cuz i want my character to have a confirm full dmg per hit before anyone can interrupt (heal) cuz there might be situations where the opposite player might get saved before her full dmg is dealt.

TLDR: As a flank, Vora should be able to dash into the back lines, burst someone, and get away. Her lack of mobility, usable burst damage, and cd reduction makes this impossible, along with her feeling clunky to play because of long end lag and lack of animation canceling.

Vora's main problem imo is that she feels disjointed. None of her abilities flow well together with the exception of her basic attack string and dark siphon (medium m1 can animation cancel into it. m1, q, m1, m1, m1 can kill most enemies if they don't get healed. They will get healed though). Tendril's cooldown is too long to even consider using without the tendril legendary. All available cd reduction in the deck is not enough to make up for this. Obliteration also suffers from a really long cd, but this one makes more sense. Evil Mojo does not want Vora to have an "I am invincible now haha" button every few seconds. However, because it gives dmg and cc immunity, I don't want to use it for damage despite it being her main burst. Combine that with the long-af end lag on the move and I never want to use it. Maybe I would if it moved me more than a single centimeter. Remember that other moves which give dmg and cc immunity (Ghrok f, Seris f) allow characters to get around corners to avoid follow up. Vora's lacks this key trait. Her ult shares the end lag/clunky feeling of obliteration. I feel that there should be no wind up on it, just sneak up on someone and execute. At the moment it is just a much worse version of lex ult and easily counter-able in any situation other than a 1v1.

So I wanted to drop some quick tips for Vora, since so many people don't really understand her yet.

Vora is a very odd champion in that she focuses on poke, tactical mobility, and trickling sustain, rather than burst, combat mobility, and moments of invulnerability. You have to play her further back and less aggressively, initially, than other flanks; It's harder to run at people than with, say, Zhin.

That said, her kit has a lot of nuances and things that aren't listed anywhere, so I'm here to talk about that.

ABILITIES

Deadly Scythe: Vora's mainfire is kinda odd; It suffers on targets getting healed because it relies on DoT for it damage, rather than pure burst like other flanks. The most interesting thing to note is that it has a 200-unit range with no dropoff, and that the DoT can proc item effects, most notably Cauterize and Life Rip. Again, this incentivizes poking from afar. Her attack chain is 2.9s, unlike Zhin's 2s, so it takes a longer period of time with no attacks before the attack chain resets.

Tendril: Vora's best ability, it has some of the best tactical mobility options in the game, and isn't shabby for combat mobility either; However, Vora can use it to either engage, or disengage, not both - The cooldown is too long, unlike Andro's Nether Step.

Dark Siphon: Vora's sustain ability, I always change this to be bound to my secondary mouse button, as it just feels smoother. This ability has that shortest cooldowns and the longest range, so you should be spamming this.

Obliteration: This ability is probably the least-understood of Vora's abilities, and it's not one to use on the offensive, usually. If you've played Smite, the best comparison I can draw is to Aphrodite's Back Off ability. This ability looks kinda like a leap, but it isn't; It's a very very very short dash with an AoE damage and knockup. Vora struggles to engage without wasting her escape ability, so using an ability to knocks enemies away once you've gotten to them is counterintuitive - Don't do that. Vora is a poke champion, almost playing like a damage champion, and this is her anti-flank measure.

Harbinger's Wrath: This is Vora's worst ability, and I feel like it will end up, like Zhin's ult, primarily being used for mobility/CC immunity. The main problems are 1) The camera angle and reticle, both of which are shifted to the right and zoomed in weirdly for the duration, instead of a normal 3p camera angle like it should be, 2) The lockout time during the animation before you can actually hit someone with the ult is massive, like BK ult massive, and 3) The damage reduction isn't enough. Drogoz gets to fly and 1hit-KO anyone; Vora is stuck on the ground, has a crappy targeter and has an execution threshold, and I don't think 30% DR is really enough to compensate. Maybe if the first two points were fixed it wouldn't feel so bad, idk.

Darkness: Vora's passive, this is something you're not going to use often. Build it up while you're poking the enemy from high ground, save it to cripple the Flank that is jumping you.

TALENTS

Relentless Presence: Vora's best talent, this gives her both a way to engage and a way to escape. This is Vora's easy mode, and my favorite talent because I'm a sucker for mobility.

Unyielding Pressure: Vora's poke talent, this gives her a small amount of tank shred. Remember that it's 10%MaxHP damage on top of 600 total damage from just the ability itself; A 4kHP tank, sans mitigating factors, is gonna suffer 1k damage from this, and it has a 6s cooldown. Don't sleep on this talent just because 2 Tendril charges is so fun and versatile.

Deafening Silence: Vora's anti-flank talent, this helps you by Silencing in an AoE. That's... The primary use of this talent, just. Making it harder for flanks to jump you. I can't think of any other way to use the talent without holding W and dying.

GAMEPLAY TRICKS

Tendril Jumping: So this is Vora's most crucial trick to master, as it'll save your life. Tendril has a little period during the travel where you're lifted off the ground, much like jumping; If you Tendril an enemy while you're within ~<50 units of them, upon colliding with them, you'll be bounced into the air, sailing over their heads. This can be used to reach ledges to escape, or simply to dance around them and get an edge - and it's also a really good way to utilize Obliteration, by flicking back toward the way you came and activating Obliteration midair, to land on the target. If you don't turn around, the tiny dash on Obliteration will carry you just far enough that the AoE won't hit the target. Note that you can also attack while traveling via Tendril; You're not locked out, so you can hit some flyby shots too.

The Siphon Combo: This should quickly become the bread and butter of every Vora main. While using her mainfire chain, there's an awkward gap between the initial Medium hit and the subsequent Light hits. So, the trick is: Medium, Dark Siphon, Light, Light, Heavy. This gives you a constant barrage of attacks, without that odd gap. IT's very important to use Crimson Ascent at at least a 3 when utilizing this combo, so if you miss, you'll have the opportunity to fire it out again at the right time during your next attack chain. Note that the cooldown is only reduced at the instant the Dark Siphon projectile actually trikes a wall or hits its maximum range, so that delay can mess you up if you don't anticipate it. If you do actually land the Dark Siphon hit, you're gonna go one full attack chain before the cooldown comes back up, so you'll be forced to use the combo, make a full chain sans combo, combo, no combo, rinse and repeat.

Tendril of Wrath: So you know how Bomb King's ult has this massive animation lockout at the start and people learned to use Poppy Bomb to help cover distance and make him mobile during that lockout? This is that trick, for Vora - Use your Tendril to launch yourself and while mid-air, activate her ult - This gives you, in a lot of cases, enough time to finish the animation lockout before you land. This also helps you reach and execute targets you've poked down from your perch on high ground.

ITEM SELECTION

Chronos: Not that I don't already build this on Zhin, Maeve, Evie, Lian and a lot of the other chars I play that most people don't use Chronos on, but Vora lives on Chronos, because she relies on her abilities so much in order to engage, escape, avoid damage, and etc. Buy Chronos after you hit Caut 2.

Cauterize: As I stated before, Vora's weapon DoT procs Cauterize, so you can antiheal someone for longer than anyone but Fernando. Likewise, most of her damage is in her DoTs, so you wanna keep them antihealed as much as possible or your damage does nothing. Caut should be your first or second item unless they just have no healer.

Life Rip: Here's where Vora's poke-y nature shines. You weapon DoT also procs Life Rip, which can be a very useful early-game asset for Vora, especially if you use the cheesy Life Rip + Kill to Heal combo right out the gate and just snowball the enemy team. She can't snowball as hard as, say, Lian, Buck or Evie, as she has no way to reduce her cooldown on elim, but otherwise she can wreak havoc with green items.

LOADOUTS

These are my loadouts for Vora.

General: Elegant Paring 5, A Change of Faith 3, Crimson Ascent 3, Unified in Purpose 3, Sharpened Resolve 1 (Or A Broken Path 1). This is just a general "learning the character" kind of versatile loadout, mostly used with Relentless Presence. Fly around town at the speed of sound.

Poke: Crimson Ascent 4, Unified In Purpose 4, New Purpose 2, Sharpened Resolve 2, A Broken Path 3. This is the loadout I use when I wanna run Unyielding Pressure, but it's also good for filling in the role of the DPS while keeping the mobility from Relentless Presence. This focuses mostly on poke, pressure and sustain.

Back Off: Otherworldly Tether 4, Broken Promises 3, New Purpose 2, Elegant Paring 3, Ruthless Elegance 3. This is the loadout I use when I wanna run Deafening Silence, but it's also good for hanging back. This is good for both surviving flanks that jump you, and counterflanking in open spaces.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone. Rystil, out.

Kami, try using Dark Siphon after the Medium scythe attack. It works like a charm.
I've said it before, Vora performs more of a quasi-Damage champion more than trying to fulfill the fantasy of an all-in Assassin. If she goes in, she will die.
She simply does not have the tools to play like a Flank. I don't know how they managed to center her kit around playing like Buck without any of the reliable mobility and bulk that a Buck has. Tiberius is honestly a better flank than her. I also think that her ult is the worst part of her kit, the rest just needs a bit more finesse.
