ОтветитьOh wow, this video was so informational!!! Thank you!!
ОтветитьDoes the soil really matter ? I really dont know were to get that specific one
ОтветитьGrew them for years this is the first vid i see that covers everything !
ОтветитьI just bought my first Venus Flytrap, I’m so excited to watch it grow outdoors in south Texas! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with this great video
ОтветитьGreat Tips, Great Advice... 👍👍👍👍👍
I'm taking my Venus Flytrap Plant outside right this minute... 😊
What would you tweak for Phoenix Arizona climate? Thanks!
ОтветитьI live in Wilmington where these plants grow naturally. Not allowed to pick them so I bought two plants, put them in a north window - yes north as in zero sun - and they both grew and were very hardy. I put them outside for the winter and will see about putting them in full sun when things warm up. BTW, we get virtually no snow here. I twenty years we've had enough snow to barely cover the ground maybe three or four times.
Ответитьokay now let's flip the situation, i live in a tropical country of indonesia and does not have winter, how am i supposed to give my VF winter dormancy?
Ответитьあと肥料を与える食虫植物も育てて見たいです😂
Ответитьこんにちは~僕はモウセンゴケを水苔で育ちますめんどうなので肥料を与えるのが大変なので
ОтветитьQuestion. I was thinking about getting a Venus fly trap to have outside my house in Puerto Rico. is this a good idea?
ОтветитьThanks for the pics of VFTs in the snow. I never would have believed it without seeing it.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video and the resources! I’m so excited to try growing flytraps!
ОтветитьI appreciate the captions 😊
ОтветитьI´ve never managed to keep those plants alive.....now I know why. The sunlight......I always had them in my dark flat and it´s a shame that they sell them as indoor plants here. Like WCiossek writes in this comment section, it is possible to keep this species alive even here in Germany, but it´s a complicated thing. I won´t try it again. We should always inform, what a plant or an animal needs, before we take it under our custody and ask ourselves, if we can provide it. This are living creatures.
ОтветитьSo, if you should not fertilize the soil to start with and they get all of their nitrates from the insects, then, I take it that you never have to fertilize their soil - even that potted 10 year old colony that you showed?
ОтветитьHey my trap needs help the heads are very small and skinny what is wrong i grow indoors with a full spectrum light and its in pure moss cuz thats the best i had
Ответитьgreat video i just bought 3 venus fly traps
Ответитьamazing! I've failed 2-3 times and I love flytraps, couldn't bring myself to buy any others, so much informative information, thank you for all the sound advice, great video!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI noticed with watering there were a couple things I did wrong.
Kept water level too high.
Only bottom watered, Peat moss breaks down over time, have to flush that out from time to time
Hey, just wanted to stop in and say that I learned more in your video than most and I don’t grow flytraps. Keep up the awesomeness. 😊
ОтветитьI’m in central Nc can I place them in the ground will they survive I live on a farm we have so many flies from smell
ОтветитьDirek güneş ışığına konabilir mi
ОтветитьI love "Your flytrap doesn't care what you think." 😆 I have also made all of these mistakes. I did eventually find out that they prefer to be outdoors, and I usually water everything with rainwater, but I didn't know about their sunlight needs, or anything else. I might finally be able to keep a baby flytrap alive. What I'd like to know, though, is why growers don't ever include this information on the plants they send to nurseries. It looks like they really don't care if all of those plants die, so you have to go out and buy a new one every year. How irresponsible. 😠
ОтветитьHello. I just received my two venus fly traps in the mail. I love them.
My question is, I live in a tropical climate. I live in south Florida. Do they have to go dormant ? No winter here.
hi, Ahoj I'm new to the carnivorous plant scene help. I recently bought sundew seeds on Amazon. Drosera seeds 100 seeds (Mix)
1.) Do filter jugs make sense?
2.) Is sundew from a filter jug healthy?
3) I was told that boiled and then cooled water is good for sundews. Can anyone confirm this?
5) Should we hand feed them at some point? as the domes are closed at the seedling stage to maintain humidity, preventing insects from entering.
6._Should we open the dome every few days to get some fresh air?
7)I would like to, I thought. catching rainwater. ?
9) I wish, I thought. catching snow water?
sorry if my english is not good 🙁
❤❤❤❤ Greetings from Costa Rica we have Utricularia spp and Pinguicula spp as natives species
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, i have a venus flytrap inside a small pot, should I put it in a bigger pot, and is there any danger in putting it under rain. Just for information, I live in the south extreme of brazil, the temperature range from 0°C to 30°C during the year, but it never really snows. Also, it rains considerably here
ОтветитьThis is a very informative and a professional presentation! Just what I was looking for. I've tried to grow Venus Flytraps in the past and now I know why I wasn't successful. Thanks from your newest subscriber!
Ответитьvery good video thank you.
ОтветитьWow, and all these years I thought Venus fly traps were a delicate little tropical plants. I killed them all with kindness!
Ответитьbut what do I do when it is -17 degrees in winter in my country
ОтветитьAwesome thanks
ОтветитьLived my whole life in Wilmington and have always wanted to try and care for a venus fly trap, bought one from Lowe's today and going to transfer it into a plastic pot with 50/50 peat moss and perlite. Hoping it goes well
ОтветитьI know! People treat their plants like an animal, an animal like a human, and humans like trash. People have a lot backwards!
ОтветитьI just purchased one I live in Michigan should I leave it inside for awhile of just leave it in my garage unheated
ОтветитьGosh that was informative! Thank you-
ОтветитьIf I kept a Venus flytrap I've just killed it. I would have made all 5 of the common mistakes.
The one which floored me the most was boiling the water to remove chemicals as this is the method i use if we've had no rain.
Thank you.
Great job on the video!
Ответитьi neeeeed it
ОтветитьThis video is amazing. Thank You!!!
ОтветитьHere’s the best tip of all: Don’t buy these! They are only harvested from the wild and are dwindling in numbers.
