For real, I get so emotional a WHOLE lot in this episode, but that last shot, with their Para-raids going "No Signal"....it's the impact is practically a gut punch, every time.

Lena was just guessing that Shin was Annette's childhood friend and hoping for the best. Lena also didn't think Annette would answer the door, but she opened up almost immediately. Deep down Annette wants Lena to pull her back.

Part 1 was ok but imo part 2 is where its at.

It would feel like a season finale, because excluding the Epilogue, it’s very close to the end of LN vol 1.

Lena became absolutely savage with Annette, and deservedly so. She’s sick of everyone’s BS and gives no effs anymore.

Think about just how monumental a thing happened here. For quite possibly the first time in Republic history, an Alba military cried her heart out for some 86 who didn't even die. She mourns her own loss, not their deaths. Similarly for perhaps the first time ever in Republic history, an squad of processors left behind a wish for an Alba to follow after them. We're going on ahead Major, so you better catch up.

Also Shin crying like that in what has to be a absolutely confusing cocktail of emotions.

I like the part 2 of the anime. It keeps showing new things and how that world is biger the they think.

Remember, this got made and released during COVID lockdown. The fact that they made an artistic masterpiece is unbelievable given the staffing limits.

Lena took ``I'll go first'' to mean ``I'll die first,'' but from Shin's perspective, it's natural for them to die, so they're glad they were able to choose how they would die. That gap is painful.
