How to Upload Shorts on YouTube from PC (2024)

My ratio and length are correct but it is not detecting that it's a short automatically. Is there a manual way to make it a short?

Any tip for when the video is formatted as a short but YT doesn't detect it and tries to upload as a regular video? I've never encountered until my latest video which I had to abort.

Unfortunate that you can't edit the thumbnail on PC, obviously feels like an on-purpose limitation so more people will use the app. Your video was short, concise and no bs. Hard to find on here. Definitely not gonna pass over your videos covering video tutorials in the future.

No it did not say it was a short

It's not working on 3 minute shorts, it keeps defaulting to a regular video. I am sure the 3 minute thing has glitches. Anyone else facing this?

From Oct 15th ... we can upload Shorts upto 3 mins

None of my profiles register that I'm uploading a short - especially via pc. So far the only short I've managed to make was via my phone recording my dog for 20 sec - it did not give me a file upload option, only record from device which is quite useless for me. It's so frustrating 😤 😢 I've had this problem for a while now. It's like my profiles just don't seem to work right. 🙁
