ОтветитьPay more for less in Php, in most ways.
ОтветитьThe main reason I prefer Thailand is high-rise beachfront resorts facing sunsets. From Thailand, I like visiting Philippines once a year.
ОтветитьI love your Channel because all the information you provide without all the BS ✊🏾
ОтветитьHmmm...the PH $49,600 per month is USD $871 per month. That's 55 percent of my monthly rent in Chicago.
ОтветитьFilipino leaders lack foresight. They could see the problem but not act on it fast, they are not very proactive. The people endure hardship and it's the same cycle over and over again and they pay their taxes for mediocre infrastructure. You can tell that the infrastructure can't compete with Thailand's.
ОтветитьThe "Hi Sir" guy looks like Hikaru
ОтветитьAppreciate you brother
ОтветитьAll The Countries In Southeastern Asia The Philippines 🇵🇭 Is The Best By Far. It's More Fun In the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️
Ответить"After you've lived here you will learn where it isn't safe to walk at night."
Will you survive learning where it isn't safe to walk at night?
As Thailand has gotten more expensive after opening up after Covid the Philippines will probably get busier with tourism. Add to that the fact that visas are easier to get and renew in the Philippines. Most important for unilingual Americans far more Filipinos speak English than Thais.
ОтветитьGreat content, my brother. Planning to visit Thailand next year. Looking forward to meeting you and Ritchie Mack. Stay safe, black man!
ОтветитьNo jeepneys in the main city of Angeles, only trikes.
ОтветитьThere are an estimated 30 thousand street children, just in Manila alone, according to DM German News reports. If they can live and make a living there, then anyone can. With so many homeless and jobless it's people will do anything to survive there. I think Cambodia is a good comparison, but Cambodia doesn't have the hurricanes/typhoons to deal with that hit the Philippines on an almost yearly basis. As long as these things remain the same, so will the Philippines.
ОтветитьJames, I didn't know you were retired military. I am too, 22 years in the Marine Corps. You're living the dream I've always wanted. Keep it up, and safe travels my friend.
ОтветитьLived in Cebu for 17 years. Moved to Bangkok 1 year ago. Best decision I’ve ever made. Thailand wins in every category hands-down.
ОтветитьU cannot save money if u frequent clubs man
ОтветитьAint no such thing as "good spam" Good God 🤢🤢
ОтветитьGreat Video JAMES~
I live in San Fernando Pampanga which is about 30 minutes south of Angeles City. Great video!!!! Kudos. I am retired USAF and was stationed here at Clark AB back in 1990 up until Mt. Pinatubo erupted. I’ve been living here permanently since 2016. I love Thailand as well. Totally different vibe. Not sure how much time you have left here in PI, but I go to Phuket 3-4 times a year. I’d love to link up with you!! You are a great blogger. Stay blessed.
Hey James man! It was awesome meeting you again here in the Philippines! Definitely a whole different vibe compared to Thailand! I like it here better for me, but never say never I'll be back in Pattaya to meet up again! Take care bro!
ОтветитьVery good information!
ОтветитьHey James u still in Philippines? Bam Bam is there. Got there today! As alway's stay cool, kind and generous!
ОтветитьJames, you don’t have an email so asking here. If you have anyone you’d recommend for a technical customer support job and located in a Thailand then let me know. I plan to hire up to 8 people by end of year in Bangkok or Hua Hin to support US market.
ОтветитьPhilippines still don't have Grab motor taxis like Thailand. Those Kandi Towers units are so tacky.
ОтветитьEnglish and the visa process will always put the Philippines over Thailand for me!
ОтветитьCandy Palace has ridiculous hotel rates.
I guess it would be ok if living there but just as a daily rate i would choose better.
You can’t do stairs 😮 ? Lazy or knees issues 😂 ?
ОтветитьHi ChocolateMan, what Hotel would you recommend, in Angeles City, near walking street. I don't need anything above a 3 star, clean and comfortable bed. I plan on staying for just a week, thank you.
ОтветитьStay positive brother👍🏼
ОтветитьI’ve been in the Philippines a few months now.
Much easier to date and connect here than in Thailand. But to be honest, it looks like a bomb went off most everywhere in the barangays. Poverty and pollution are next level. No sidewalks, no traffic lights. Chaos
Now retired in Thailand from Hawaii but been to PI many times since the 70s. Still bit rough around the edges for me but as you say Choc, 'up to you'👍
ОтветитьI love Spam and my Thai wife hates it. Good news is my young daughters are coming around!!
ОтветитьA major consideration for retirees looking to live overseas, is the quality and availability of health services. Health services in Thailand are very comparable to health services in the USA, at least in terms of quality; they're behind a bit in terms of diagnostics. I've had two major surgeries since I've lived here, and both were very successful, and incredibly inexpensive, at least compared to similar services in the USA. I know that twenty years ago, the US State Dept had a warning on their website for the Philippines, urging US citizens to avoid PI health services if possible, in favor of postponing treatment until you were back in the US. What is the situation currently?
ОтветитьGood post.
ОтветитьChocolate Man ! Back at your Old stomping grounds, Angeles City !! This Guy , from USA now in Cebu City , im the one Who mentioned to you that i saw You at Manila immigration office in 2019 , when you were probably on your way to Thailand !!! Been to Thailand several times in the past , but now I'm thinking of making a Return there on a Retirement Visa !! But from what i been Reading everything is up in the air cos Thai Immigration will probably make some monetary and compulsory insurance changes ?? Do you have any Insight on anything ?? I know the Elite Visas have Changed !!! Can't make it there until March 2024 , so I can't beat any New changes ???
ОтветитьSorry but my OCD. Its not Don Juice See Oh,. Its Don Wee Ko. Don Juico. And I im pretty sure the Jeepneys arent 7p anymore, more like 12p or more.
ОтветитьHey kat, thanks for covering rental properties and visa agencies!!!
I am thinking about going to the Philippines soon.
Are you moving back there?
Thaïland is 99% better .1% for english

well, it says this video was posted 10 hours ago but man it must have been a week or more ago because Margarita Station moved last Friday September 15, was there last day, closed forever at this location. They moved up the road to the old phoenix hotel location, on perimeter road a half block from the Petron station, behind the old sunset garden hotel, by the candy bar...I think they are not quite open yet, as of today sep, 22 Friday...
ОтветитьLived in, and enjoyed, both countries. I like the Filipino people more; Thailand has better infastructure. The Filipinos take bureaucracy to a whole new level: "Sir, you need a yellow form to apply for the blue form to complete and notarise the official white form." 555!
ОтветитьRides4Kicks shows nicer long stay options for 1/2 the price ( right there in Pattaya & Jomtiem )
ОтветитьThere really are only 3 options in the Philippines. Angeles City in Luzon; Cebu City, Cebu and Davao City in Mindanao. The traffic and anti- foreigner attitudes are getting worse all over the Philippines. These 3 locations the Local governments are making vast improvements. Infrastructure still sucks in comparison to Thailand. Medical care in the Philippines is 3rd class at it's best. Top notch Healthcare only found in Makati, Cebu City & Davao City .
ОтветитьFried spam slices and a runny egg in a sandwich 🥪 😊
ОтветитьLoving the Phillipines videos mate. Keep up the great work
ОтветитьBrilliant Video James. Thanks so much for all the information. 👍😊
ОтветитьThanks for another fantastic video, James. The great information that you share in this video will definitely come in handy during my future visits to the Philippines. However, Thailand is still the place to be for me. Thanks again. Btw, how long was the flight from BKK to Clarke..?
ОтветитьSorry to break the news, but currently Cambodia has the easiest visas to obtain in SEA. At 55 and over retirement visa is $300 from an agent, or $180 if you do it yourself. Minimal documentations needed. Not even a bank account.
For under 55, you can still get retirement visa but proof of income is needed such as VA, rental, disability, retirement, whatever, etc.
So if your situation is more desperate then the PI, which is extremely low, then Cambodia is your best bet.
