personally, if i was in this situation, i would be peaceful unless attacked. if i were attacked, i would beat the monster to submission and then spare them (i would also do my best to be non-lethal), prompting others to do the same and showing that i am willing and more than happy to be peaceful but will not be happy with being attacked. killing wouldn't be off limits though if the monster threatens more than me and shows signs of persisting with their plans even after spared
ОтветитьOne flaw I see in this is monster kid he does not attack you you just try to kill him
ОтветитьBad vid gene good route
ОтветитьMy justification is that the monsters killed not one, not two, but six children/pre-teens/ teenagers who had their entire lives ahead of themselves ended because of a grieving goat father who would have most likely declared a war on all of the humans. I prefer the pacifist run over the genocide run but this is only one out of multiple reasons for why the genocide run might actually be justifiable

ОтветитьUndertale Yellow in a nutshell.
ОтветитьAdding some perspective, if this story takes place after the war with humans and monsters, both sides would of likely heard propaganda of the other race and therefore would likely be more hostile to them, than if it was their own race.
Also, Alphys never does anything directly to Frisk with negetive intentions and Toriel should't be utterly killed for trying to protect you. addtionally, the player litteraly is able to revive themselves, so that changes the whole plane, and monsters DO KNOW that a human can save and reset.
Not defending anything, just adding some perspective
Papyrus is the only characters that even within what the human knows there is no serious justification for killing. he will never kill you, and will also always verbally tell you that he is going to let you pass when you reduce him to only one hit. at that point the only reason to kill him is out of revenge for him attacking you. Thats why very few players kill him in their playthroughs players will often kill all major characters except papyrus because its literally just as easy or easier to leave him alive.
Ответитьi think that Chara is a player, and Frisk is who Chara controls in all routes. Then we control Chara. Chara breaks free in genocide. and also, i spared without spoilers because i realized she says ….. when you click it so i spammed it for ..?
ОтветитьLet me pose a question for everyone. What is more fulfilling: gaining friends, changing minds, helping someone be more honest with themselves, saving everyone and freeing all the peaceful monsters from captivity or mercilessly slaughtering them all and then destroying the world?
Also Monster Kid is utterly unjustifiable. The check text says “free exp”. Players that do genocide deserve every death and reset Undyne and Sans dish out. Especially if they fall for Sans’ mercy trap. When he tells you to never come back is a small mercy of itself (and where I’d probably just quit if I ever do genocide [which I won’t]).
kinda sucks that this reflects some people's real life mentalities about real life shit
ОтветитьThat's not like wrong, but not great either. After all finding monsters becomes hard after a while, so we kinda have to search for them
Ответитьis genocide irl also jsutifiable asking for a friend
ОтветитьI noticed people here are separating a no mercy run with a genocide run and I think I get why. In a no mercy run you off monsters who attack you but that’s it, it would result in a neutral ending where Sans tells you off. In a G run, you seek out the monsters. You grind like you would in Pokémon, you even need to achieve a specific number of monster dust to qualify.
Not a rebuttal as I think you’d agree. Just something I noticed.
My prefer neutral route over the two extremist routes because of how much you can experiment.
ОтветитьWell, if its the human's shoes as a child, you'd think the child would always try to choose to run, since that is an option with fleeing, so almost no murder in justified with the normal monsters
ОтветитьIn genocide, papyrus gives up on capturing you and he doesnt even attempt to fight you in genocide.
"She will fight you no matter what" the human doesn't know that.
You dont stumble upon everyone monster. To actually complete genocide you have to hint them down. Many random monsters dont fight you and are instantly sparable.
When you said that mettaton fights you either way, the human doesnt know that.
Does the human only not know when its convient to you.
In any run, you are the one attacking some of the characters. Your the one that attack toriel. Many other monsters dont attack you, but instead encounter you.
Undone fights you because you were about to kill an innocent child who doesn’t even attack you.
ОтветитьThe war never ended you just finished it
Ответитьits just not
ОтветитьYou know what’s NOT justified?
Performing the “Murder Dance” or walking in circles to force encounters. 😈
What about Whimsum? They're spareable from the beginning of the fight.
ОтветитьYou can also think about it another way
All Neutral Runs: Monsters are trapped in the Underground forever and hate Humans even more (Frisk may have killed some Monsters + the Souls are gone + King Asgore is dead)
All Pacifist Runs: Humans won't accept Monsters and another war starts
Genocide Run: You're sparing the Monsters from a life of suffering by killing them
Also, Monsters are a threat to Humanity, since it's confirmed that many Monsters want Humanity dead, and all it takes is 7 Human Souls to create a God capable of eradicating Humanity
Imagine having to justifying massacring an entire race that's been oppressed by your own for nearly a millennia.
ОтветитьThe problem with papyrus is… he doesn’t even attack you in genocide.
Ответитьpov: frisk going to court after the genocide route.
ОтветитьRewatching this in the future I miss these.
ОтветитьPapyrus spares you and Monster Kid + Whimsun + Moldsmal can all be spared immediately
Ответитьtbf, if it was me down there, i'd kill every single person who tried to kill me.
but i probably wouldn't kill toriel since she wasn't trying to kill me, so no genocide for me to begin with.
This may be 6 years late but... GONOCIDE is not justified. Frisk has the power to Reset Time, even if its on their first time in the underground they would have not killed 20 Monsters unless they are evil. GONOCIDE after neutral and Pacifist is Just Frisk being Bored so that makes Frisk even more messed up.
Even assuming Frisk somehow did all those kills in self defence they went and tried killing Monster Kid
HEY jerry does not kill you well I mean most people don't even kill him anyways cause his defence
ОтветитьWell since canonically resetting exists it would make SOME level of sense for Frisk to do genocide after doing his justified no mercy run
Since every monster is still trying to kill you even though you are the one running up to them
And because in the neutral ending you’re still stuck in the underground and monsters are still alive meaning in another millennia or two the monster kind will take 7 more human souls and escape to kill humanity
Including people who you actually care about
I'm not genocidal I'm just a serial killer
ОтветитьWhat about Vulkin? Theyre trying to heal you, but failing miserably.
ОтветитьI dont like it either. I cant even bring myself to try one of these runs, but I do find it interesting that people get so invested in the game themseleves that they forget the main character is only a small child. Imagine the fear of being in that place. Seems like too many people dont know what its like to be a child surrounded by monsters and the things you sometimes have to do to survive with a limited capacity for wisdom or empathy.
ОтветитьFrisk was too much of a based sigma for us in 2016, but now we understand the grindset
Ответитьi fucking hate you now underlab
ОтветитьMoldsmal and Whimsun can be IMMEDIATELY spared
ОтветитьI'm going to go over the FIVE characters that make it so Genocide is impossible to be justfied:
Papyrus - That fact he actually GIVES UP that in the Genocide Run, he doesn't ATTACK you first! Plus his puzzles mean that he wants it to be fair and give you a fair chance to get past! He even states at that point he just wants to turn your life off this evil path, and he's not even lying, if you kill him, he says he believes you can do better. Also this means that it's not self defense in this, it's you straight up murdering a monster who while not fully innocent with things, hasn't really done anything wrong to you minus puzzles that you don't even let start! He also thinks Asgore is a softie, he probably thinks that it's because it's going to get you home easier!
Toriel - If you read the dialogue, it proves that Toriel believes she's doing the right thing because most of the monsters, not including Papyrus, WILL TRY TO KILL YOU, and she along with Papyrus are the only ones who care about your well being, it's just unlike Papyrus, her attacks can actually kill you, but that's on accident!
Monster Kid/MK - The look on your face makes them believe what Undyne said about you "hurting" a lot of people, and they even say "Hey, that's not true, right?" It's your expression that makes them stand in your way!
Sans - I'm gonna point out you did just kill almost everyone INCLUDING THEIR BROTHER WHO SANS LITERALLY SAYS IS NOT THAT DANGEROUS!!! Also, the KR, stands for KARMA, if you have that, that means YOU ARE IN THE WRONG for killing everyone!
Chara - I'm gonna point out real quick that they are not at fault for the Genocide Route, the PLAYER is. And if not for your L.O.V.E. probably corrupting them, they would be MAD with anger and grief....so at that point, if Chara just killed Frisk who's controlled by the player, that is justified.
The fans of the game basically forget that THIS IS A HUMAN CHILD BEING THREATENED BY MONSTERS killing in order to survive is a no brainer.
ОтветитьI'm now having a hard thought because of you and the monsters to protect or to kill
ОтветитьUndyne attacked you after you tried killing a defenseless child with a blow that was able to oneshot her, thats reason enough
ОтветитьNot to mention that Muffet is actually a really terrible person. If you actually play through her battle in the genocide run (If you don't kill her immediately), she will talk about how Alphys told her that she needed to escape with the other monsters so that she could lock off the core so you could not get in. But Muffet refused to leave her spider nest. Alphys tells her that she will not put the core on lockdown until Muffet leaves with her. But even knowing this, Muffet does not leave. This means that if Muffet had just listened to Alphys and left, we would not be able to finish the genocide run as the core would be locked down permanently.
ОтветитьI only watched this video so I could see if I'm REALLY gonna finish that Geno run I've got still waiting.
ОтветитьAhh yes, a guy that did the genocide route, felt bad and tried to feel better by "justifying it".
ОтветитьGuy: Hey, wanna fight?
Me: Slaughters him with a knife
You: It’s justified because he started it!
