Ah-ha! There in lies the paradox, which to me is the basis, of fundamental truth: To belong—the opposite is fitting in. To fit in: changing who you are, accommodating. When we belong, the byproduct IS fitting in, just not a betrayal of myself. Its beautiful.

Don’t you think it is a slap in the face of your partner / husband when you say “where are my people?”?
For me, I am completely alone. No partner, single for 13 years… no friends that call to hang out.
I feel I can ask “where are my people”…
Perhaps there are levels.. I dunno

At 26, the older I get, the less I care about other people's opinions. If it doesn't make me better, I can't afford to give a shxt. The only thing I regret is not embracing my own self sooner. It's so freeing, like receiving a big hug from someone that wants the best for you, embrace it.
