That’s because you don’t have full self driving. That’s regular autopilot. It won’t navigate for you. It will only lane keep. Pay for FSD for navigation.

Ok let me school all of you that do not have a tesla or do but are clueless. If it’s FSD or Autopilot and there is a destination it is following then it will go in that direction. If FSD or Autopilot is the only thing on without a destination plotted, it will try it’s best to stay in the farthest right lane forever. What it will do for you is stop and go at lights and if FSD it will stop and go at stop signs.

This is auto steer, however FSD will not work in heavy rain, often will not work in light rain, dark, fog. Where you have low visibility so does it. It's a fair weather application and even then it's unsafe to take your hands off of the wheel. Tesla explains this to purchasers so I don't know why people keep insisting it's out of beta.
