Germany had been preparing and building up for war since 1933, then set it off in 39'. Then in late 41' all the shit shifts into high gear when they declare war on the US. 4 years later they get their asses handed to them on all fronts. By mid 44' they should have surrendered just to save further innocent civilian blood shed. Made no sense to prolong this when all they were doing was throwing interceptions with every 40 yard pass.🫷😩🫸

It gets a bit better at the end after Åke Lindman's death (bless his soul).
He was a great actor but shitty director.
The best way to deal with this movie is to cut it up as scenes in a documentary.

why a 2007 film feels like 80s 90s movie

Even names are real, One milloin men were fighting on Carelian Isthmus. My father was fighting in regiment called "" Jänkäjääkärit the lock of Ihantala". Father was a sniper and group leader too. Finnish artillery with FAF and German Squadron Kuhlmey showed their awfull power at beginning of July 1944. Russia was totally defeated. I met Major Suurkari and General Puroma after war personally.

I did’nt know in deep the whole story. The action scenes are very well done, all the characters are good. Moreover there is plenty of original tanks and weapons. Good movie really.

Мне нравится как многие тут пишут что финны «защищались» и не хотели захватывать себе новую территорию. Словно они никогда не пытались захватить Ленинград, словно они не атаковали Мурманск где их отстреливали НКВД (слава героям).
Но даже если мы поверим во все эти сказки, это не отменяет их ужасных военных преступлений. (Да успокоятся погибшие в финских концлагерях люди)
