Thank you this was very helpful because you gave some tips which made this process very clear. Actually, while filling out the manifest object keys, I did a typo that cost me a lot of time. I had typed the start_url key in the manifest file with the first word in title-case, that is 'Start'... AND also hadn't used a relative url address. I found out about the relative address quite quickly after gettng the 'invalid URL' message in the browser, but was still getting a 'url not valid' message.

It was only when I you pointed out that it's possible to check all of the manifest properties in the 'application tab' of the browser that I noticed that another key, 'short_name' was not registered even though I knew I typed in the value. I went back to look at the manifest file and, HUGE FACEPALM... 🤣

I shall not be making that mistake again. I'm commenting just in case any of your other viewers make this minor, but completely time-wasting mistake. 🙄

Hi there, loving the series so far and have been waiting to start this one after doing the HTML and CSS course and the Javascript course on Udemy. In this lesson, I seem to be getting errors when loading up the local server. From what I can see the stylesheet is not loading in the page and I'm not sure if the JS is loading in either. The error message is "Refused to apply style from 'URL' because its MIME type". Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can proceed with the course. Thanks in advance.

It is a great one off product for learning how to effortlessly manifest the life of your dreams without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my m8 after a lifetime of fighting got amazing success with it.

why icons variable has that name? Does it have any meaning?

the path to the manifest file is searched inside the same folder as index.html file right?

I uploaded my project to sub folder on my website at godaddy and when I look at Application in dev tools, it says that there is no manifest. I get the message, "Manifest: Line: 1, column: 1, Unexpected token." Am I supposed to put everything on the root directory on godaddy? I had to change the absolute links in the html files to relative links, and that worked, but now I have this problem.
