Only thing about preparing this meal is standing and stirring strring , it's only me so I don't like standing that long. I do the same thing only add a little water so they can cook low and slow seeping through everything and because my legs don't permit to stand long periods of time. How high should the heat be? And how long do you cook before you let it simmer for "5 minutes on low"? It seems like a good recipe but you left out some important things for beginners to cooking.
