Have had a cannon x for 2 years and had a proper wheel alignment done ( thanks to the lady team at Beaurepairs Norlunga South Australia, and it instantly made the lane control work properly. No cambers over there, here they are, so easy fix. A great around cheap to operate, 4 disc brakes standard etc and a 7 yer all inclusive warranty. The new one looks nice but I’ll keep the red one I have. Love your opinions fella✌️

The superior 4wd performance and features for the cost is nothing less than extraordinary to the average Joe. Car reviews by the bigger guys always talks down the great value and capabilities of this vehicle, it's embarrassing hearing the desperate non sencical faults after each challenge the GWM takes on and devours. You can tell the car review cuts are out of touch and have free use of vehicles with a petrol card from the bigger brands. Who else sees the bias here?

I wanna see one of these trucks in progressively longer 5 year incriments , all the way to 20, or 25 years of age, because besides the motor that's laughably gutless with what part numbers that you just don't see in trucks in the year 2023, I want to help with the reliability of that gutless, Chinese compact hatchback motor going to be like. The company that would save money on their vehicle production cost by placing a generic chrome bung hole on the poorly executed early 2000's Toyota Tundra front grill that doesn't even match their logo on the tailgate, which is more of a chrome bung hole with a hemorrhoid, I can't say I have the highest confidence in the quality of this trucks motor. Especially with a power plant so feeble that normal day to day operation would require this trucks unfortunate owner gun the motor for more time than is would be the average for a vehicle in this class. It would be like placing the mortgage payment on the line in a game of toddler VS professional footballer, with every cent on those toddlers to win with a score of 0 to 157, as in a stupid bet. I hope somehow this Chinese Ranger competitor can prove me wrong.

I really like the use of the durometer! My favorite show on t.v. in part because of their testing regiment, and that test is a valuable test that in 40 + years they never thought to do, and it's a super cool, and very useful bit of testing right there.

Amazing how much the Aussie dollar has been devalued in so few years. I've got a 2019 Foton Tunland I bought new for $27500. Had no drama's with it, but no way would I spend almost double the price on another Chinese ute.

Great review Paul. Very interesting and the truck is interesting, specially if we look at the price. But the million dollars question is... how reliable is it, will this last long like the other known brands, due the excess of technology in todays cars how would all those sensors last?

If you get your hands on one of these again, regarding the “traction control issue”, hold down the traction control button for 5-7seconds and it activates a “expert cross country mode”
This disables all driving assists.
It is on the original Cannon models so assuming it would be on this variant as well.
Love my Cannon

I have a decently kitted out Cannon L and I have to say, I dont miss my 2019 Ford Everest LTD that it replaced. There are some super annoying little things about these cars but everything else makes up for it. They are really great value and getting the kit as stock on the XSR is great.

Not only China will have enough muscles by 2027 to take Taiwan, but just as we have discovered spreading Covid or not they know people can't resist saving their wallet which is why they went to China to have goods manufactured anyway! Now with the rise and rise of Chinese vehicles, by 2030 you would pay $75000 for a Chinese ute/vehicle just like anyone else because simply put there will be no alternative. Thanks to industrial espionage, blatant IPR stealing and legally obtained trade secrets, China is poised to take on any other manufacturer. Dope addicts told me they got pure cut either free or dirt cheap to start with and before they knew it - hooked. EXACTLY the same marketing ploy used by Xi Jin Ping.
