How Loud Can We Make a BUDGET 1000 Watts Subwoofer System?

137.4 on 1.5cf, 33hz tuning, dodge journey, dd 9512i, m3b @ 2ohms, stock 165a alternator and electrical.

I’ve got a mud toy that’s a jeep no back seat I had 2 10s on a skar 2500 and it thumps good but after a motor swap to a 350sbc I just can’t hear it as much any recommendations? I’m willing to run an aux battery or another alternator I just want something that I can hear the lows good.

I got a skar sdr 15 that came with the amp, wires ect for like 500 bucks on amizon and it hits damn good down at 14 hz it looks like it sounds about the same as the 2 in the video and taps out my phone speaker.

Question I have 2-12 kicker Solo-Baric l7 and a 3k Taramp but when either I raise the volume or some type of base comes in my amp goes into protection and the it restarts if I don't lower the volume one or two notches it will go into protection

I wouldn't be running Taramps compared to CT-Sounds. Taramps are known for wanting more than 14.2V to reach the rated power ratings. That doesn't seem a problem with SKAR or CT-Sounds. It's too late in the year now for me to start building up a system, but I'll be going CT-Sounds monoblock with a CT-Sounds Tropo loaded box next year.

The rattling would drive me nuts. On my phone thas all i hear. Im shore thats not the case in the car. But the rattling is my Number 1 reason ive never liked huge spl system's. Id rather slap few hundred pounds of dynamat or watever its called all over everything to make the car sound better inside and out. I love hammer hitting kick drums in heavy metal music, but also love so rap and country witch have some crazy low bass.

I like the video my brotha the only thing I'm having a hard time with is the size of my trunk unfortunately I don't have an SUV, so it makes things harder. I have 2 12 EVL's but only running 1 right now cuz of the size needed for a box that fits 2! I only have 33 inches in length in my trunk for where I want the subs due to their needing to be room in Infront of them! If I can find a box or someone that can make a custom box and isn't going to cost an arm and a leg, then I will do it! Thanks for showing this I did learn somethings!

Parker. Quick question. I wanted to grab a American bass sub 10 inch for space reasons and wanted to grab that tharamps md 1200.1 but cant find out what size gauge wire I need for that sub? I have two of those same 15's(they bang hard)on a stestom 3k digital bass but they make the amp go into protection mode after they been banging for a while but when I borrowed a kole audio 5500 amp to try it won't go into protection mode like with the stestom 3k

As of right now the setup im picking up will be (2) 18" SDR SKARS (650w RMS each) ATM, that come with a 2000 Watt Amp SKAR 2000•D1 Amp...

The Box I will be having the (2) 18" SKAR SDR in will be a 4.6ft³ (which is EXACTLY what these subs need and call for) so 9.2ft Total Interior Air Volume space tuned to 29Hz

The problem with 02-06 Honda CRV's is they have the ELD (Electronic Load Detector) underside the Fuse Box so will most likely have to bypass it or remove it from the system...

Otherwise if I do Run into issues would adding a Capacitor be a great solution? I definitely don't want to add extra Batteries and have all that extra heavy weight in the CRV, but adding a Capacitor or upgrading the Alternator I'm ok with down the road (just not an Alternator at the moment if I can Help getting away without it, 😁) another problem I'm having is finding a ln upgraded 200 Amp Alternator for the CRV!

Just like you said it's all about perspective And preference. I have one little ten inch and that thing is loud enough to rattle all the panels in the car. I have a Corolla by the way it all depends What kind of car you have too. But it's enough to keep me happy. I honestly don't put it all the way up because My ears be ringing by the time I get to work. Honestly if It vibrates your side mirror you're good enough i'm running twelve hundred watts On stock 100 amp electricals four gauge wire big four upgrade and that's it. No extra battery. I've had my amp for over a decade already. And it's still bumping. It's a sun down by the way s a z twelve hundred and a skar 10" in skar armored box. For voice I'm running 2 prv 6x9 and 2 jbl horns and it's too loud honestly 😅
