HI. This worked really well. But at end of day I shut down computer. Next day i had to reconnect again. Is there anyway you can leave it as a permanent connection rather than reconnect everyday. Thank you for your instructions. You dumb it down just nicely for me :)

Only to find out that the manufacturer never finished the HDMI port, and we didn't know about it the entire time owning the computer. I was going to give up and wait until the day I could afford to buy a new monitor. Then I came across your tutorial! It worked right away! Thanks for the last section, was really wondering about the latency for things like conference calls and streams on a second device, and the lagginess would definitely be a problem there. I imagine it would also eat up some bandwidth since you're basically rebroadcasting to another device.
