Giant Continuum w cycle computer (aka bike speedometer) how to... quick setup... The Truth

I pulled out my old bike and the speedometer thing (now called a cycle computer) was dead. There was no "how to" videos showing how to re-set it up and randomly pushing buttons did not work... so... I stared at the weird supposed instructions found online... and still could not figure it out... so I put it down and walked away... thought maybe just buy a new device... but... it bugged me... it was a puzzle to be solved.

So I came back to it... and stared at the instructions some more and became determined to figure it out... and it took me a while but I finally got it working. Indeed after staring at the instructions some more they started to make sense... but... they are not exactly "easy" to understand.... more like a map with hints.... or maybe I am just dumb... but at least I figured it out.

So I decided I should make a short video for anyone else who might have one of these and would rather not spend too much time making it go... and also make it for my future self (if I am still around then) to remind how I did this last time.

On more than one occasion I have watched my own videos like that.... to remind me how to do something which is not super obvious.

I do not know if anyone has one of these models (the Giant website does not even list this model or its manual anymore).... but maybe someone has one.... or will find one.... and if/when their batteries are dead this will help.

Mainly I like to create videos when there are no videos on the topic yet... and that happens rarer and rarer these days... but when I notice a need, I am happy to fill it. I am happy to pay back the help I have received so many times when I needed to understand how to do something.
