Hi William: I just found and subscribed to your channel. I really liked your teaching style and approach to this subject. Your images as spectacular. Well done! Cheers, Keith (Canada)
ОтветитьThis helped me decide that I need an ultra-wide.
With respect to composition & subjective aesthetics, do you ever break your own rules such as 'leading the eye' and 'harmony' (rocks on either side instead of one) in order to create an affect such as 'tension'?
Aesthetics is a fascinating (mystical) subject with no right or wrong answers, the essence of all art, in the pursuit of the 'sublime'.
If you have these kinds of pics, perhaps a video dedicated to displaying them is a good idea.
Thanks & cheers mate.
Oy mate! How do you feel about panorama shots composed with multiple images? High res & no perspective distortion but not nearly as convenient as wide angle lenses. :)
Ответитьclear and no nonsense information. thanks for the great advice
Ответитьnot just lovely! Super Lovely! excellent teacher and artist! will follow.
ОтветитьAnother great video packed with really good tips. Thanks you Will!
ОтветитьI really enjoy your videos Will, I have purchased your Master Class and hope to get into it soon however in the meantime these short videos are awesome. Thanks again for your efforts. 🙏🏻
ОтветитьGreat information on using a wide angle lens. I just purchased one and i am slowly getting used to using it.
ОтветитьThanks I have Canon 5d mark iv 16-35 lens found this interesting
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьGreat tips… what about setting the lens to the hyper focal setting? The new lenses don’t have the line the old manual lenses had.
ОтветитьThanks very helpful
ОтветитьExcellent video. Very interesting and clearly explained.
ОтветитьThank you, fabulous information that is easy to understand for a beginner. I can’t wait to get my wide angle lens and have a go.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThanks for that great advice which was easy to follow and made even better with the examples.
ОтветитьCool video. I ordered a Canon 17-40mm two weeks ago. Still haven't received it, but I'm watching videos in anticipation of when it does arrive.
ОтветитьGood on you William! That was good and clear.
ОтветитьGreat video. Informative with good examples. Thanks mate!
ОтветитьHi William, Tokina don't appear to make that lens with a Sony e-mount. Alternatively I found that there is a new Tamron 11-20mm f2.8 Di III-A RXD - Sony E-Mount. Do you know anything about it and whether it would be a good alternative purchase? I've been taking my landscapes with a Sigma art 24-70, making panos when necessary, to date. thanks
ОтветитьLove it mate, just discovered your work in the last few months (yes I live under a rock). Hopefully will join you in nz for one of your tours 👍
ОтветитьThanks William for another great easy to understand video. Love your photos and looking forward to practising next time we are down your way in Feb.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing these awesome tips, William. Enjoyed your way of explanation.
ОтветитьThanks for such an awesome video, I am learning wide angle and this was so very helpful, Cheers 🌿
ОтветитьHi William, seriously you should have a load more followers, been watching your channel over the weekend and its very insightful. Keep up the great work.
ОтветитьThat rainbow tho
ОтветитьOMG nice shot william
ОтветитьOpportune timing for me. After seeing an earlier video I bought the latest Tokina 11 - 20mm wide angle and are very impressed with the depth of field Sharp from close up to the distance and at the moment I have been using f8 but will try f11. One little tip - I thought I had lost the lens cap and was using it without it in my bag but had forgotten to wipe the lens when I used it. Due to it's sharpness from front to back not only is the subject sharp but also dust particles on your lens. I have not had a lens where this was so pronounced before.
ОтветитьGreat videos! Quick question - do you have lens correction off in the camera settings to be able to use angular distortion to your benefit?
Cheers!
So much great information! Thanks Will!
ОтветитьWonderful video with amazing tips! Thank you Will! Love your work.
ОтветитьGreat vid mate. Really enjoying the new videos coming out recently.
ОтветитьHave you used the Tokina 11-20 lens? How soft are details in the distance. I have been using a 28mm prime on a APS-c camera and stacking panoramas to get the detail and wonder if this would give me the same detail.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your knowledge ✌
ОтветитьThe man. Great video Will
ОтветитьAWESOME images Will and great instruction - as always - thanks
