Why is horse meat so taboo in some countries?
ОтветитьI used to have respect for Jamie Oliver, but now, he's just another prat with no idea how it is for working families. I'd like to see how he managed on the average British weekly wage, living in an average suburban home without all the veggie gardens and other home grown amenities he enjoys. See how well he can cope then, with the cost of living what it is these days.
ОтветитьI had no issues with the horse meat, it tasted nice and I don't like horses
ОтветитьJamie Oliver is just another one of those people growing so utterly detached from what real life is like for 99.9% of humans that he's becoming insufferable.
I live in Sweden and yes, for me it's VERY much a choice between eating "unhealthy" or not at all. Fresh fruit and veg has skyrocketed in price. Same with fish, chicken, eggs, milk... ALL of it! Add to that my ill health, and you have a perfect storm of having to eat cheap foods... And whilst our food standards are very high in Sweden, I'm wracked with guilt just fine without some Capitalistic cunt telling me I'm a bad person for not cooking everything from scratch.
Surely the biggest supermarket scandal is the crazy bonuses the big wigs award themselves. Literally million year on year while we, the idiot consumers buy the cheap items so we can afford to eat a meal and heat our homes.
ОтветитьEat junk food or not at all??! I'll choose not at all thanks. Fasting is much more healthy.
ОтветитьAnd yet Jamie Oliver still took millions from Sainsburys in one of their advertising campaigns that ran for years in the 2000's.
ОтветитьMy local Sainsbury’s has a habit of displaying price reductions in big red labels on the shelf edges then charging full price at the checkout.
ОтветитьThe horse meat scandal that spawned a thousand jokes!…
ОтветитьHorse meat is actually much healthier than beef or pork, I did not see it as a scandal at all.
ОтветитьPerhaps ASDA thought they could get away with a poor pay rise, by relying on staff discounts. A very wrong thing to do.
Nothing wrong with the principal of multiply buys; it's just what they are offered on, better to offer on cheap fresh fruit, vegetables, basic grocery and hosehold necessities and cheap fish and meat, than junk food. Oddly chemists like Boots do multiply buys on basic cosmetic items like antiperspirants and toothpaste, and no one complains, so it's clear that cheap junk food is the problem.
Supermarkets are now removing best by dates, remember best by is not the same as use by. Learn about what to look for to see if something is off.
ОтветитьDo what McDonalds do, put TM next to evry item on the menu then threaten copyright strikes, or bring court orders, especially a familty firm braing the name McDonalds that's been in the family for over a hundred yeards, especially a chippy or take away.
ОтветитьPlastic recycling has been a lie for years,
ОтветитьTheir sausage patties contains erythrobate...earth worms.
ОтветитьThe corporate offices deserve a strike.
The workers deserves a raise after what they did during the pandemic to keep society going...
Jamie Oliver tried to bring his whole ideology to the US and to see American kids break him was truly hilarious. The thing is that I get wanting kids to eat healthier but his arrogance is gross.
ОтветитьI didn't even care about the horsemeat, their meat is leaner than beef and theres many of them too.
ОтветитьASDA IS AMERICAN DONT EXPECT FAIR PLAY
ОтветитьI've boycotted Tesco since I found they're selling HALAL meat without telling consumers, therefore forcing them into buying products totally against their ethics! Why hurt the majority just to appease the few!
ОтветитьStop saying pay etc - A comment below - BIG WIGS AND THEIR PAY AND SHAREHOLDERS. - Us that work have no say - - - HIT THE FAT CATS. WE have a union for a reason - But because we are below 51% Union - We have a say = not a pure point and we can get involved. More people - more rights
ОтветитьEvery little yelps.
ОтветитьBut the establishment want what's best for us.
No they don't.
Tesco
ОтветитьThe horse scandal went on furlong time
ОтветитьThe deal with the horse meat ?? What do you expect when you can buy a kilo of "beef" for a pound ?? Did you really think that you're getting beef ?? Ha ha ha ha !! Maybe some beef then some horse, pig, dog, cat, rat, raccoon, snake .... whatever is available, that's what you are eating. Think before you buy you morons. It's your own damn fault.
ОтветитьThe United Kingdom 🏴🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe UK 🏴🇬🇧
Ответитьmost companies sell their good produce to cheaper stores and good quality food and drinks ,some of the food that you do not buy goes to other companies to be mashed up and mixed into food for pigs or other animals at the zoo
some stores have a box where you can buy and donate food
sometimes it is best to research some facts before the emotional process kicks in and having a rant
some people on low wages or benefits go to these shops a few go else where for a quick fix
down to the individual in how they budget
these middle class lefties are the worst they cry out ofr the poor to be helped but they use a mouth but not there own money to help or take actions themselves .
yes it is hard but depending on the situation there is families and friends alike do not go for loans as it will not be a fix only get you in a bigger hole
look out for your options
I haven't even watched the video in full yet but I will say this, I didn't hear you all complaining about those burgers, in fact people just kept buying them because they were tasty 🤔😂🍔😋
ОтветитьSurely, with regards to food wastage, if you have a product in your store, you order 100 and sell 5 and throw 95 away, but when it's 50% cheaper you only throw away 5.
You have 2 choices, don't stock the product so you don't get any losses, OR if you're going to keep the product and are OK with chucking it away, simply lower the price, its a damn site better than writing it off as wastage.
That is disgraceful Tesco selling horse meat within the UK, we are not French you know.
ОтветитьSainsburys
ОтветитьA bit weird that meat eaters were shocked that they had eaten horse but are happy to eat cows, pigs, sheep. If it had been discovered in veggie burgers or packets of crumpet then yep that’s a scandal.
ОтветитьIf the grocery stores made arrangements with food banks to donate unsold products, children around the world would never starve again.
ОтветитьJamie Oliver is awful he makes prices rise and those who are not millionaires like himself are the ones that feel the increase.
ОтветитьJamie Oliver lives in the next village from me he is always in the papers!
ОтветитьWhat happened to the original narrator? ☹️
ОтветитьI don’t get how palm oil is ‘bad’ but other mass produced crops such as chocolate, rice and coffee are just fine? I think most anti palm oil campaigns are more based on emotion rather than fact.
ОтветитьRecycling is yet another bs scam. Only about 10% of the garbage you throw out ever gets actually recycled.
ОтветитьThe real scandel is how supermarkets tescos , asda and sainburys etc are breaking the law by driving there delivery vans driving and parking on the pavement.
ОтветитьMarks and Spencers only targeted Aldi for their catapiller cake because they thought Aldi is a easy target and M&S completely forgot that other grocery stores had similar catapiller cakes.
I think Jamie Oliver had good intentions about wanting the country eating healthy, he is greatly out of touch. Due to a number of people couldn't afford certain healthy food items due to the people being poor, the inflation of the prices of the food, the country going into another recession and certain number of food products are pricey (IE food that are claimed to be organic & specialized food stores (Whole Foods/Holland & Barrett's)).
Never got the horse meat one, so what?
ОтветитьDo they test grocery store meat for human?
ОтветитьHorsemeat? Thats normal meet eaten in nordics. We eat reindeer too
ОтветитьPlastic waste disposal has bugger all to do with supermarkets, that's problem of the councils & waste management company, they are the ones selling our waste not supermarkets
Ps Jamie Oliver is a tight fisted twat
Nowt wrong with horse meat, neigh.
ОтветитьMy dislike for Jamie Oliver has to do with unscrupulous business practices
