How To Install MetaGPT - Build A Startup With One Prompt!!

I tried to install MetaGPT, but i didn't succeed. I've followed all the steps, but then while launching metagpt "Create a snake game" it returns ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'metagpt.actions.ci'. Can someone help me please.

The newest version of MetaGPT is a wonder. In the last 4 hours, we have written a crazy PHP MVC framework that has a comprehensive real-time communication layer. MetaGPT wrote a Python wrapper and a mini-service in Python to add asynchronous support and also added the ability for me to call python scripts or shell commands and route the return through a Websocket. The addition of iterative tasks is HUGE!!!!

Can we start seeing some examples other than snake game? If the purpose of this is to automate a startup, challenging it with an un-solved problem would be much more appropriate. Great video as always!

How can you say MetaGpt's claims are substantiated when all it can do is create very basic programs at best? It is far from replacing software companies and their engineering team. At the rate it is going maybe 5-10 years from now we'll see a change in the IT landscape where IT jobs are being supplanted by AI, ML, or Prompt Engineering jobs, but now is not the time.

AI has been more popular for about a year. The number of letters/chars/tokens that can be processed in one go is limited, that is. In order to build a software company that also brings in profits, the AI would have to be able to independently build something complex like Wordpress, Kajabi or Copecard, which is probably not possible yet = a shame. The user still had to determine a lot of individual functions. Conclusion: tik tak toe or the second exhausted kindergarten example snake is all still kindergarten. That's why calling something like a "software company" sounds very exaggerated to me...

Is there something like this for JavaScript (Node.js, Nest.js, etc.) or only for Python?

GPT-4 has severe issues when working on existing code because GPT-4 can only do forward generation but not backward generation. You can ask it to revise existing code, but it can not handle larger tasks.

I have a txt file of a very long email conversation, I tried using auto gpt to analyze the conversation using a very specifically written prompt, that would be capable of going through the entire conversation and finding parts of the conversation relevant to the document I’m trying to compose but I got varying results and would often spend up to $20 a project based on the size of the txt file but the auto gpt python agent just didn’t have the capacity to fulfill my request. I’m wondering if investing in gpt4 and meta gpt would be more capable of doing this or if it’s more oriented towards program design? I tried an online website that allows you to upload a pdf and ask chat gpt about the document but that barely worked either.

getting error while running the code it says "The model `gpt-4` does not exist" i tried it changing to gpt-3 also to gpt-3.5 but still it gives there error.
I am not using paid version, where to check the version i am available to?

Freaking trash. Everything is trash since going back to GPT3.5 TURBO. So basically you have to pay for GPT4 if you want stuff to work. I can't even get an app to work well using the gpt3 again. Have to add and remove so many things.

Maybe it's only meant for super dooper basic stuff until you upgrade to gpt4 which gives you stuff that run basically 80% of the time even when more complex.

Outstanding. I did the install and ran a quick test. All good. Then I wrote a whole paragraph to make a touch screen friendly, employee login page. It worked first time and the page looked really good with details like good contrast in the color scheme, rounded edges on the buttons, number entered showed up on the screen with no borders so it looked really nice. Works perfect. Amazing.

Ironic that something which can create an entire operating company from scratch requires geeky line commands, eh?

Everything sans research which means you end up automating assumptions. But its created by engineers so its as usual.

I don’t understand it. Every channel just like yours is posting the exact same instructions with the exact same cli snake prompt. Why not try something no-one else is trying and show that? Also, if the result is flawed, and your suggestion is to “have a better prompt”. Then basically you have to spend $2 every time you want to update your game or give feedback? Autogpt, superagi etc, how do you work with giving it feedback without it costing you tons? Make a video on that and I’ll be impressed.

I can't get MetaGPT to code in any language other than python. Python is great where it makes sense to use it, and that is definitely not everywhere for everything. I was pretty stoked to use this project, and asked it to write the snake game in C#, then in C++, then in Java, etc. And it always writes it in Python. If that's all it can do, doesn't it seem like a serious oversight not to mention this on the github project page and in the video?
