Doggo!
Thanks Madeline.
I've been binge watching a lot of your videos and thank you for sharing all this useful information.
I am fixing up my linkedin profile following your worksheet now.
It's quite frustating how difficult it is to find hiring managers or any email contact at all for some job positings.
I sometimes wonder if hiring a hacker to help you find a human in charge of a job posting would be worth it :P
Only challenge here is that if you don't have LI premium, you may not be able to send them a message. You can only include so many characters in a LI connection request.
ОтветитьHi Madeline, thanks for your 3 days session this week. I'm currently in the interview process for my dream job, and sent the email for a coffee chat to the junior staff who are working in a position I've applied for. I wrote it very personal, mentioning her personal projects and professional work on her portfolio website and how inspiring they were. But she didn't reply me back- should I send a follow-up email in this situation? As you mentioned in the video, my friends also advised me that it's a good idea to reach out to employers and ask for a coffee chat about their experience at the company. I hope this email will not affect me negatively throughout the interview process.
Anyway, thanks again for your content! You helped me so much to nail the interviews for the internship and even graduate school.
This was great advice. I implemented it right away for a job I applied for. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you, Madeline! I took your tip in finding the hiring manager on LinkedIn and reached out with a personalized message. For some reason, I thought this wouldn't work - but it did!!! The hiring manager replied back to my message within hours and the next day she requested to schedule an initial interview. I'm so excited about this role and will continue to watch your videos so I can now go and get an offer! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
ОтветитьShe has psychopath eyes.
Ответитьis anyone going to address the elephant in the room? If this is one of the steps you take to put your name out there, what do you do when you can't find a hiring manager? Give up? Who do you contact???
ОтветитьI’m trying to work at the comic place because I love that store and I love comic and I’d love to get that job but I always get so nervous
ОтветитьWhat would I say as a subject line
ОтветитьI don’t have linked in premium and I can’t afford it. Sometimes I wish I could 😢
ОтветитьPlease i need your help 😢 how do i redeem missing an interview time due to time misinterpreted on my part. I need help pls
ОтветитьQueen shi
ОтветитьWhat's the pups name? He/she is sooo cute!!
ОтветитьWould you ever prompt a current employee to forward your information to a recruiter? If so, how can you politely prompt that? I've tried reaching out to a couple of employees at target companies and some have responded, but they never say "I've forwarded your info along." Should I ask them for that favor, and if so, how?
ОтветитьTHIS WORKED!!! I had originally applied to my dream job (at an amazing company!!) and thought I botched it because of high salary expectations. I reached out to someone with mutual connections in the company a few days after I applied and also clarified that my salary expectations were flexible. She sent my profile to the hiring manager and I got a phone interview within a few hours. Thank you so much, Madeline! Your videos have been an incredible help to me. Now to prepare for the interview 🤓
ОтветитьHello Madeline, I just did what you said a week ago and got their positive response right away, and guess what? I got a job which perfectly fits with my expectation :)
Thank you so much for your advice and hope to get more useful videos from you.
The personalization I sorta did recently. I sent a few texts to the manager off and on after my interview and we got on a first name basis (Though I hear everyone who works there does) I was told they went another way but my application would be kept handy but I don't know. Anyway, you gave me some interesting pointers I think I'll try in the future, so thanks for that.
ОтветитьThank you so much ! All of you information is very helpful. Just sent my message out to the recruiter
ОтветитьThank you so much for a great video. I wanted to ask one specific question, where do I send this message? Since in Linkedin, you are only allowed to send messages to people you know. In the 2nd example, what platform are you using to send the message?
ОтветитьHi Madeline! Thank you for all your videos!! Do you have any advice or content that talks about internally posting for positions?
ОтветитьThank you, Madeline!
ОтветитьI’ve written messages that were basically mini versions of a cover letter & didn’t get a response, will keep on trying though
ОтветитьGreat advice! Thank you!
ОтветитьIf a recruiter said they'd reach back for next steps. What do I need to do after that?
ОтветитьThis is a really random question, but I was wondering if it looks bad to people who look at your online portal for job applications at the company having so so so many applications sent in. For example ex company I’ve been applying to for a year and a half now, I definitely have over 100 applications that I submitted. However, early on I was not smart and did not do my research on the rules I just kind of clicked and applied, clicked and applied and thought if someone reaches out to me great, nothing to lose, might As well just send it in type of thing… What I’m getting at is I wonder if that looks bad on the applicant side like they don’t really care what they do at the company and just don’t know what they want. I am considering with drying/deleting/taking off my profile or whatever those former applications that I know I am not qualified for and are no longer relevant…
ОтветитьWhat I’ve learned is reaching out is kind of like prospecting and sales… For every X amount of people you reach out to, X will respond. It is always worth it.
Also sidenote/challenge I have come across: differentiating talent acquisition and recruiters within these big companies… Also there are so so many teams within these kinds of companies, and they’re linked in profiles may not specify that they are specifically in the area of security , or product , etc etc. thank you so much for your help. I feel like I definitely need to practice being concise on these phone screenings though.
Clearly any tactic will only realistically work if you're qualified for the role in the first place, that goes without saying, but then if you're already such a good fit you'd at least get your interview anyway (unless they have another 50 candidates who are also a great fit of course which is where it gets more difficult).
ОтветитьHi Madeline i have question for you i did great interview and the manager told me they will asses all candidates next week wednesday after they make interview with the last candidate and today is friday no answer should i ask to them or wait
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic video, but I was super distracted by the puppy at the beginning
ОтветитьI've applied to 4 different positions over the last month at a company I'd love to work for with no response yet. I used this video as guidance to reach out to someone at the company on Linkedin, and I received a reply in under 10 minutes asking for my resume! Hopefully an interview is next!
ОтветитьHi so I have been watching many of your videos. And I wanted to say thank you, but I need some help or any suggestions you might have. I emailed someone working within the company over the holidays and they responded to me today and said that we could speak Friday. What would you advise that I do within the next few days because I’m not sure what exactly we would talk about. Help? Thanks in advance 🙂
ОтветитьShould I reach out if I applied 2 weeks ago?
ОтветитьYou’ll I legit applied to this job today and I just watched her video and I reached out to the hiring official and he reached back out to me. We will be speaking over the phone possibly on Monday. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьHey Madeline, I applied to this job and I’ve sent three emails over the course of a couple of weeks showing my interest and haven’t heard anything back. Do you recommend me to keep reaching out or do you think they would get annoyed?
ОтветитьHi, these are trying times and I badly want the job that I have submitted my application yet I haven't heard back from them from the period of 2 weeks they have given me. I wanted to try this trick but the only option I got was messaging the recruiter via "Messenger" is it okay to use that platform to introduce myself as a potential candidate for the job? I just wanted to put myself under their radar. Please help me, thank you so much in advance.
ОтветитьThanks for these valuable tips. I got a Skype interview with a manager in another country 5 months ago and he got a good impression about me in the interview but he sent me to apologize because he offered the job to another person . Now I noticed that there is a new open position with the same hiring manager. For sure i have applied but I would like to send him an email to show him my interest. what should I talk about in this email?
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьAlways great advice! However, how would you handle this scenario? I applied right before COVID shutdown and I emailed HR regarding the uncertainty and reiterated how interested I was in the position and understand if they were putting things on hold. I did get a reply that they put a hiring freeze on. When our state opened back up I emailed HR again and I got a reply stating they are starting the hiring process again and will review my experience and credentials and will respond shortly. Well that was over a week ago. Do I email yet AGAIN?? Or call? I WANT this job! Please help!
Ответитьmessages to hiring managers who are not in my network are limited to a few words
ОтветитьHello madam love from India
ОтветитьI love this video!
ОтветитьMadeline, THANK YOU!! This is by far the best tip I've learned from you and it absolutely works. I recently applied to a job for which I am definitely qualified. It was through an ATS, so I tailored my materials and used keywords to maximize my chances of passing through the ATS. No response. Watched this video and then found the hiring manager using stealthy google skills. I sent her an email letting her know I'd applied and reiterating my interest/skills. I attached my resume and cover letter. She wrote back and said that for some reason, she'd never received my application from HR (thanks a lot, Taleo), but that she'd personally request it and would be in touch. A week later, I had the interview!! Fingers crossed; hopefully the offer is pending too :)
ОтветитьAlright the cold email worked, now is this considered a phone interview?
ОтветитьI want this jobs how can apply sir or madam call WhatsApp 0097433555041
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьWhat would you put for the subject line if I was planning on emailing a recruiter?
ОтветитьAmazing !! Awesome Madeline! Thank you for the great tip!;D
