The level of play of black sports stars and of Daniel Medvedev comes down drastically in cases where some spectators make fun of them or throws insults at the players. In tennis courts, the level of -paying tennis standards for Novak Djokovic stays the same, or even goes up, even if there is a hostile crown or spectator throwing insults at him. In case of highly talented Afro American sportsmen or even those from Africa or those black players who grew up elsewhere, these sportsmen start making mistakes , if a hostile crowd makes monkey noises or gorilla noises during a first division football match anywhere in Europe, the level of play of black players comes down drastically. After the start of the Ukraine war in 2022 for membership of NATO about two decades after the fall of communism, Medvedev could no longer play at the highest level, and he has lost every match against Sinner, since 2022, except this match in Wimbledon 2024.

The most intelligent player on the tour by miles, academically that is. He knows his mathematics, physics inside out.

I really, really like Jannik and I feel for his loss against Medvedev. But on the subject of interviews - some players do great interviews and others not so much. And Daniil is one of those I’m always interested to listen to and I like his down to earth honesty. He always makes no bones about what he did or didn’t do and what he could do better. And he doesn’t make excuses when he does lose. He also always speaks well of his opponents. An all round top player. 👍

Their is always a bad guy and that him. He might be the greatest but he needs to get over himself. We don't have to respect him or anyone else just because they are good at their job. They should remember without the crowd he would or any other tennis player have much.

Hands down, my favourite person to listen to in tennis. And this attitude of 'At the end, I'll be happy that I'd done my best and whatever I won, I won and whatever I didn't, I didn't'. I wish every sports person could take this attitude that the effort is more important than the reward. All imho...
