its worse when you can not get a single reply from any one ..i used clips from 3 sesions of the umbrella acadamy and mashed them together ..so ther would be no way to watch the clips i have put together and there is a complet song on top son not even using there sound ..uploded 7 times diffrent formats even black and white video ..still the same copywright strike and its a real shame as the video is perfect for the song ..but getting a reply from anyone ..is never going to happen ..yes is over 5 mins but it lots of clips over 3 sesions so to me thats fair use

Ok so if I want to comment on a scene of amovie and I show 30 seconds or one minute of the scene, would that be a fair use? If so how about the music is playing on that scene? That is copyrighted by itselt as well.

Can a "vidder" who combined movie/tv shows clip and add either the full song or some parts be able to monetize? I use things like Sony Vegas to edit them into a mini movies.

The issue with presenting that you will not be sued with such certainty is that you are not in control of whether or not you are sued.
