Be careful with the pressure washer I’ve messed up two seals on the hydraulic cylinders as well as contaminated the oil

I just replaced the seals around the pivot bolt because I was losing fluid. It was easy maintenance took a little longer than that. I would like to do it and it cost me about $76 for force, a ring seals and a sleeve. I did not replace the bolt itself because the bolt
itself was $45. just thought you’d like to know

I plan on keeping right BX for a long time I push snow in the winter time if we have any the salt from the roadway, ate the floor pan up on my tractor, not a big deal was only 100 bucks to replace but after that, I took my body off from the floor peeing over top of my rear wheels and I took it to my local Line X dealer and had my tractor light mixed. It’ll never rust. It’ll last longer than our bodies will also on my tractor I had a problem with the bonnet on the front of my tractor it kept breaking off, made it was made of cheap plastic, so I also heard that Line X. And guess what I haven’t had a problem cents just thought you’d like to know.

Never trust a Kubota dealer. Ours shanked us. Our L4701 had 47.3 hours on it. The tractor dropped the number 3 cylinder. No compression. The dealer said a stick broke a coolant line which is impossible. We never saw or smelled any anti-freeze leak. Now they are trying to make our insurance company replace the engine. The tractor was in a heated garage with a finished floor. They are committing insurance fraud. We let them pick the tractor up. They then they wrote this phony report that absolved themselves of any warranty work. Hire an independent mechanic to write up an estimate before you turn you tractor over to a Kubota dealer.

You said you were gonna buy a tie rod covers or boots they make heavy duty tie rod boots and also if you’re going to buy our 14s do you wanna get them off of Amazon cause you bought the tires in the wheels come together don’t buy the wheel separately because you’re regret it later on and I think you’re right about 600 and some dollars for a set of four

Have had a BX25D since 2012 4700 and some change hours on it. 2023 it is time for a new transmission and a engine rebuild. Have had a BX22 since 2002 and it just keeps going no idea about hours on it now days. The New M5660 I bought July 2022 the tractor is great but the loader was defective one arm 2" smaller all the way around 3rd day I owned it the tilting the bucket up and down was putting the quick connect in a bind and bent the quick connect and the bucket fell of while mowing a pasture off. Dealership came took the loader off took it, the bucket and filed a warranty claim, which Kubota denied, so I bought that Orange protetion insurance plan and had to use it. The insurance bought the new loader with no problems. Kubota claims I hit something and bent the arm but the arm is 2" shorter on every straight line measurement neither here or there at this point. Toward the End of February and I am still waiting for my New Loader to arrive and all I get from Kubota is sometime between next week and 12 months from next week. VERY ANNOYING when you drop $60,000 on a new tractor/Backhoe/Several Quick Connect attachments and have to use you 46 year old ragged out Massey for any substantial bucket work. If you looked at the fb page I built that big pond dam and little pond dam with the M5660 and a $1000 King Kutter Box Blade lat summer. Put 780 hard hours pulling heavy boxes of clay on the tractor from July through October . Can't complain even a little bit about the tractor or its performance. The loader part of it though makes me see Red NOT ORANGE :) The BXs are little war horses. I somehow manage to puncture and cut the front tire sidewalls on a regular basis :) I started buying the much cheaper aftermarket tires and rims in pairs on amazon for less than what just the Kubota tires cost. And I find their bar tires get better traction than the official kubota tires do. My only real complaint about the BXs is the brush I go through constantly pops the blinker cover off and sometimes I find them and sometimes I don't. So started putting a zip ties around each set and have not lost one since. Kubota has not given me a reason in over 20 years to say anything bad about the tractors and Landpride generally the same high opinion with. That loader on the new tractor and Kubota not taking ownership of the defective arm....... That I can not say enough bad things about :)

great video I learned in machinist school set screws are one time use always replace them. if you remove them change them. if they loosen replace them if you tighten them, they will come lose again. they lose the grip on the end of set screw. always replace with same style end as original there are different styles and uses. I recently rented this tractor good machine.

Just used my new 2380 for 1/2 hour moving gravel and the bucket wont dump or come back up. Loader goes up and down. Is that valve system , all 4 in 1, fixable, or should be replaced? The dealer is picking it up today. Has anyone had problems with the hydraulics?

You know I checked out the JD & the Kubota but instead bought a TYM T265 because it was the only one that had all the optional extras standard & what really broke the deal was JD & Kubota both dropped the Vital Turning Brakes which I really need on hilly blocks. I've had it a couple of months now & am very happy with it. The TYM has much more capability than the other 2. Our old Kubota is in retirement now.

I have about 350 hours on my Bx23S, use it like a tractor should be used and I love it. I am starting to get a bit concerned though. I have a rear mount blower that has used up about 1/3 of those hours, a mower deck only used a few times, a bush hog, twice and a post hole auger maybe 20 holes both over a year ago. Added a hitch mount power winch on the front, so yes I use it for a variety of tasks. First time I removed the loader the quick couplers leaked after I put it back on…. Full warranty replacement. A branch jammed into the fan shroud underneath so added a guard. The safety switch under the seat has been annoying, same issue as this guy with the front tires, now run turf tires in the summer and R4s w chains winter. This winter second heavy snowfall noticed a puddle under the tractor… hydraulic fluid… took it into the dealer and the entire PTO gear box was shot. $7K to fix it and no explanation from the dealer why it happened or how to prevent it from happening again. They suggested a seized PTO drive shaft or a non kubota snowblower (forgetting that they sold the blower with the tractor). The dealer is very good, a bit farming oriented, but good. They apologized that there was no kit or easy fix for the PTO, case was cracked and the entire drive train replaced. I will be afraid to use my snowblower next winter or any other PTO driven implement. YIKES!

Given what you have done with your BX and the issues you have discussed here, I shouldn't have any problems with mine other than caused by myself LOL. I've done some stuff on mine that caused some minor issues, easy fixes though, luckily as my dealer doesn't seem all that interested in anything once they got their money.

A lot of initial things that made me question my purchase though. Every nut and bolt on the machine seemed loose upon delivery, lug nuts included. Had a hydraulic leak on day 1, luckily I had pulled the tractor up on my concrete carport to checkout the loader removal feature so I found the leak on a hard line off the left side of the transaxle, tightened that up and added some fluid and haven't had another issue. I do have mysteriously disappearing coolant however, which is quite concerning as there's no external leaks, but the overflow bottle will get low after a month or so and I have to top it off again to bring the level back to about mid way between full and add. Engine seems fine, haven't had to add oil, fuel system seems fine but I started using a fuel additive on day 1 to prevent any problems in the first place. They're so busy they aren't doing very good at assembly and inspection at the dealership it seems.

My tractor has spent most the winter hibernating in the shop, I go out once in a while when I remember to and start it up and let it run for a while, but don't really use it in the winter for anything. Right now I have 32 hours on it, so the initial fluid/filter change is coming up soon. I'll be changing the oil/filter, fuel filters, and the hydraulic fluid/filters as well and switch over to the UDT-2 hydraulic fluid while I'm at it....and of course clean out the screen filter in the hydraulic system when I find where its located LOL.

A well done video…
You mention using a pressure washer to wash your machine. I used an electric PW on my new to me but dirty l4060, I quickly found that it wanted to strip all of the stickers off.
Then I found the Messick’s video that strongly suggested not using a PW.
Now I just wash it like I would my car. We have 40psi out of our hose plenty for rinsing off, hot soapy water to wash and then rinse.
My l4060 has never been back to the dealer, 0 problems since it was originally bought by my neighbor, who used it commercially for 1065hrs.
Though when I got it, it was dirty, and the grease joints were dripping huge globs of grease.
From lack of use the joy stick lock was stuck in the free position as well as you’d never have been able to tell that the steering column has a spring to pull it out of the way when you push the pedal.
So mostly it was well maintained and came with a complete extra set of filters.
