"To make sure the fallen know they got a buddy that's there with them 24 hours a day." That hit...so hard...
ОтветитьI had the opportunity in my senior class to visit DC. The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier was my priority. This was during the Vietnam era. That was my decision to enlist. Your passion for this elite group, your emotion clearly showed your love for this group. I’m sorry for your loss of your mentor. Best of luck with your career. As an Army Medic even now & for ever will I salute all the soldiers that have fallen & the current Army in achieving their mission. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ответитьwhat a brainwash....
ОтветитьI thought I knew everything about the Sentinels at the TotUS. I never knew that a Sentinel could get gigged on-site, though. I knew the inspections were not just for show. But I thought the Sentinel would have already passed an inspection in the Sentinel quarters before presenting for duty at the Changing of the Guard. I also knew that every soldier in the Old Guard is fully combat-trained. But I never knew that any Sentinels had been killed in action after having returned to line duty.
ОтветитьYou, had an oops. Those interrupting a solemn ceremony have no shame. How dare you disrespect fallen soldiers and ruin the ceremony for the other attendees. Consider yyourselves shunned.
ОтветитьLazy man to not pass a weapon’s inspection…no excuse for it….
ОтветитьIt’s cruel to show out somebody’s mistake like this. Please take this video down!
ОтветитьEven if you're not from that location, you get emotional about all soldiers, because all soldiers fight for what they believe is right, they fight with a purpose. So, respect.
ОтветитьWhen I went here for a school trip and some of the kids had no respect and were on their phones even after a teacher said for them to shut it off and they didn’t
ОтветитьThis guy has a huge heart.
ОтветитьHis weapon wasn't clean and he got send back to clean it.
Cheers.
Still wonder how you can do this ridiculous thing over and over again...
ОтветитьFreedom don’t come free people. Someone has to pay a price for it and it’s not just the soldiers, it’s their families also. Be thankful, respectful, and blessed. Mom of a disabled veteran
ОтветитьI had two uncles serve in WWI and my father and his two brothers served in WWII. MY brothers and I served during the Vietnam Conflict, and I stayed in until 1998. Now retired Army, I am proud. Things are not always perfect, nor sane. I will say, the best times I have had was while serving in the Army from 1973 until 1998. I thank God for Jesus first, then for my mother, and then for the United States Army. All three developed me in to who I am. These guys at Arlington have the responsibility of showing what the best of the Army is, and the best that this nation represents. I salute soldiers, sailors, and airmen every day. I salute congressmen and congresswomen never! The youngest and lowest paid serve their country a thousand times more precisely than their congressional corrupted dupes.
ОтветитьWhy are they allowed to wear non regulation dress caps?
ОтветитьThe Honor Guard serves in all kinds of weather. Rain, heat, snow, they have been officially told they do not have to guard during hurricanes, heat waves and blizzards. The Guard have always refused to stand down. Bless them everyone.
ОтветитьI'm a honor guard/sentinel in troop life Roblox and someone busted me out of the way we were about to do taps and he came i tried so much to stop him and he pointed a gun at the tomb but i stopped him in time
ОтветитьExcept 9-11 was an inside job false flag operation so we could have a fake war on terror.
Ответитьgod bless our serivce men and women. especially the fallen ones. we wll never forget you.
ОтветитьAs a soldier, stationed at Ft. Belvoir, I visited Arlington a number of times. I returned 30 years later. That was 20 years ago. Still very emotional. One thing I wish is that the politicians that send our youth into harms way, take a field trip to Arlington to see where some of those youth will be laid to rest.
Ответитьwhat up
ОтветитьIm from Australia...thank U to all those from the USA who have helped ànd keep helping protected my country
ОтветитьJust calm down 😂
ОтветитьFrom a Vietnam Era Vet,
Excellent Video.
Freedom, Isn't Free. The cost is everything for some. My Father was a United States Marine. So i have a very special spot for all Military Service members Current and Vets. To any who have served that may see this. Thank you. For everything.
ОтветитьYou are forgiven Sir
ОтветитьMay,all who give there life for the United States of America. May,they all R.I.P..Thank you for your service.I,hand salute you..I,have the utmost respect for the men & woman in the US Military..
ОтветитьFor those not interested in 9 minutes of this - his weapon was rusty.
ОтветитьIm sorry to burst anyone's bubble but its not considered a high honor. Its actually only given to soldiers who are tall lol
ОтветитьAwesome story
ОтветитьMay GOD bless our forces and give peace to our fallen brave soldiers. GOD bless America.
ОтветитьI saw a Sentinel have a part detach from his rifle during inspection. It was not quiet when it hit the pavement. I think it was the metal cap on the buttstock, it looked to be L shaped and convex, but I was positioned behind the shift commander (I have seen the ceremony seversl times, and try to view it from a different location each time so I understand it better) so I could not determine where it came off.
I know that Sentinel had to cringe inside when that plate clanged so loud with everyone silent. Surprisingly, not a single onlooker even snickered. The Sentinel was not sent back down, the ceremony continued. And the shift commander and outgoing Sentinel stepped over the part as they exited. I was steps from the gap in the barricade, and after perhaps a minute, just as I wondered of thecplate was just going to left there until Arlington was closed to visitors, a soldier, very possibly the off-going Sentinel, trotted up, sand coat and cover, and retrieved it. I departed, but to this day I wonder how long after his Walk ended that afternoon it took for the toothmarks in that Sentinels backside to heal, because you know he got chewed out, in, up, down, and sideways once out of public view.
I had to privilege of watching the changing of the guard and if that doesn't make you proud to be an American, your in the wrong country. It's something you will never forget.
Ответить❤my father in law was a Sargent in Korea we have Respect for all who serve GOD BLESS them all .and the families ❤
ОтветитьFrom an old veteran to all military personnel past present and future., thank you all for your service!
Ответитьmy grandpa fought in ww2 and he had a military burial and they folded the flag, but sadly instead of giving the flag to my mom which is my grandpas daughter, (which is my mom) they gave it to somebody else who was at the funeral but it was still very cool and emotional to see
ОтветитьThis is such a hallowed experience that you just have to see in person. The volumes the silence speaks is felt across your whole body. Once in a lifetime opportunity to see such an act of selflessness from our nations finest!
ОтветитьI have been to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, it is sad and humbling.
ОтветитьVery heart touching story
ОтветитьExcellent video, thank you so much! ❤
Ответить"You always have a buddy." That did it. 😢 😭
ОтветитьAS A USMC THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR T.Y.
ОтветитьI could never do that. All the discipline and rhetoric of the position. No TV, no radio, no reading the newspaper or magazine. Have live eat and sleep the "Tomb of the Unknown" and being in a cemetery all night long would creep me out. Just my opinion. Have a great day everyone
ОтветитьAWESOME INFORMATION 😩! Thank You for educating me at the age of 77 about all the things required to guard THE TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER 👏! My heart aches for your heartbreaking experience and humiliation of not meeting the necessary process of presenting a clean firearm at inspection 😪! Yet you have had a wonderful privilege that few have experienced😁. God bless you for serving in the military and protecting our country 🙏🏼!
And thank you for all your hard work in producing a respectful movie of the wonder friend and foe who also served HOMORABLY❤️.
God Be with you and all the men and women who continue to put their life on the line to keep us all safe from our enemies wherever they may be! Again GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙏🏼!
