I love your former art history professor. His knowledge and enthusiasm are infectious!
ОтветитьWowzers
ОтветитьWashington was 44 years old at the time of the crossing. Hardly an "older man" as referenced here in the bit about "political propaganda." A Bronzino painting elevated to the most important piece at the MET is also funny. But the Oxbow commentary is completely off-point, given the Indigenous people's history in these "uncultivated" lands -- that's the real political message of the Oxbow.
ОтветитьWow, there’s so much I missed when I went there. I never even made it to the Van Gogh room. Note to self: next time, I go to nyc by myself so I’m not feeling rushed due to friends. Really hard when your friend is asking where you are and are you going to be done soon so I felt rushed. I’m def a solo traveler.
Ответитьif they designed the window was tiffany the handson manufacryor ?
Ответитьis this the same museum where Night at Museum was filmed?
ОтветитьMore Dr. gopin 😊
ОтветитьGreat video thanks for your tips.
ОтветитьYou can tell the professor is so passionate about the art and history represented here. Great video
ОтветитьIf youre only spending 2hrs in the met you clearly dont appreciate the art and history, youre obviously a tourist that just wants to say you've been there.
ОтветитьMinute 7.59: he says 'Etna' but the correct vulcano is 'Vesuvio'. Etna is in Sicily,
ОтветитьI love the excitement the art historian has about him. He is an art lover as deep as his blood runs and thru-out his dna
ОтветитьExcellent guide. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is a man who loves to teach 😂
ОтветитьVery nice quick tour. Thank you. Just one question. Can you take the ticket for one day as lourvre during a lunch break or coffee, or for one entry?
ОтветитьSesame Street filmed an episode here called don’t eat the pictures
ОтветитьI visited The Met when I was up in NYC a few days ago and OMG, I was taken aback by just how many amazing works of art there are inside of it. I started in the Egypt section and worked my through up to Asian art and a touch of Americana. I had wanted to see some of the Sumerian/Mesopotamian pieces they have but that gallery was closed off. Hopefully when I find myself in NYC again I'll stop by the Met again.
ОтветитьWhat an enthusiastic professor. You can tell he’s extremely passionate about what he does ❤️
ОтветитьThis video inspired me to buy a membership. In 2020 (pre-pandemic), my family and I did a private tour and some random man with his daughter joined in. 😄
ОтветитьThe professor has a voice like Tarantino
Ответитьreally gooooooooooooood video!!! I'm an italian painter :) greetings from Milan
ОтветитьYou cant show most of this art in republican states. If things continue they will have them destroyed like so many extremists in history.
ОтветитьTkm
ОтветитьThank you for this.
ОтветитьI loved this video! Thank you both for these art lessons and for this itineray to visit the MET.
ОтветитьSeth was WONDERFUL!! Thanks for featuring him.
ОтветитьMuseum is Shrekphobic, they made me throw away my prime drink cuz it’s green
ОтветитьWow! I'd go just for Vermeers alone. But so many great tips here. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI really enjoy the explanation of the professor .
ОтветитьOne quick correction: Mount Etna is in Sicily. It is Mount Vesvuisus that is located near Naples and erupted in 79 AD
sincerely a Pompeian archaeologist :)
Oh gosh I want a guided tour with this man 😮😊
ОтветитьThat was great since I have been to the Met and just realized that I never saw a lot of what you showed in this video.
ОтветитьEvery time I visit I happily disappear into the exhibits and all my old favorites until I’m exhausted and sadly head down the steps back to the outside world.
ОтветитьNice Museum
ОтветитьI've been there three times and I don't think I've seen it all. It's sensory overload for sure, not to mention a helluva lotta walking.
ОтветитьI love the art professor, if i were in college I would totally sign up for his classes. You can tell how much he loves art by his enthusiasm.
ОтветитьWow! You and your art teacher could easily make this a one hour special.
ОтветитьYou've actually inspired me and my "dulcet tones" to video blogging Interesting places around the world
ОтветитьAny good Pubs or bars within 20 mins walking distance around the Met with decent prices you know about? I am heading there in 1 hour
ОтветитьIf they do informational headsets, then Seth has to be the narrator. Great video.
ОтветитьI spent opening hours til 4PM exploring the FIRST FLOOR. I leisurely took a coffee break but was informed the museum will be closing soon. My SECOND FLOOR experience is all about running and photographing random artworks. I will return. I NEED TOOOOOOOO!!!! :)
ОтветитьThis guy is insane. Not every painting was political.
This is why I hate neo-art-critics. Not everything has a meaning. Sometimes it's just art.
Stop trying to sound profound. You're not.
I love this museum so much . I wish there's a coffee shop inside that looks like you wanna relax and chill not looks like a cafeteria.
ОтветитьWow what a gem this man is.
ОтветитьThe people who were sitting on the bench during the explanation of Washington crossing the Delaware were in class .you can tell that they were listening and learning. So cool
ОтветитьSuper like
ОтветитьAetna volcano in Naples? Are you sure? 😂😂😂
